Review: Excellent Book. - This is a very good companion for anybody learning to teach English, as well as a reference book for practising teachers as it is small enough to carry around on a daily basis. This book is packed with information about teaching strategies, learning a second language, presenting grammar, professional development, planning lessons, in fact every aspect of teaching English as well as advice on written assignments for the CELTA course. I only wish I'd bought this book when I did my CELTA course! It would've put everything more into perspective. I highly recommend this book!

I completed the IH London course recently and it hasn’t changed for many years. Note- The intense course really is intense. You will hear and see this observation in many places, don’t discount it as hyperbole. I have done many academic courses and this required strategic planning and late night and early mornings. Good luck! I am earning money immediately following the course.😃

This is a very good companion for anybody learning to teach English, as well as a reference book for practising teachers as it is small enough to carry around on a daily basis. This book is packed with information about teaching strategies, learning a second language, presenting grammar, professional development, planning lessons, in fact every aspect of teaching English as well as advice on written assignments for the CELTA course. I only wish I'd bought this book when I did my CELTA course! It would've put everything more into perspective. I highly recommend this book!

Valuable book to have to support what you're doing on the CELTA training course. Tutors will be using some of the content in the training programme but it's great to review and reflect as it's a very practical book. In short in gets to the point very quickly without going into theory that comes from the background reading. I'm really glad I bought it as you can tend to get bogged down by theory and this makes you think about practical teaching.
