Hours of fun
We found the keva blocks at a children’s museum we are members at, and my kids flock to them at every trip. We decided to go with this brand instead, and we’re a bit hesitant. These are so fun, splinter free, and great quality! I love them just as much as the kids if I am being honest. Highly recommend for kids, Montessori settings, and any age group.

Worth every penny!
We have had hours and hours of fun building the buildings suggested by Kapla, as well as, our own forts, jails, houses, roads, fences, castles, etc. Our five year old son fell in love with these blocks after seeing a friend build with them but it took us quite a while to purchase a set of our own because we didn’t want to make such an investment in a toy that would only be played with once or twice. Finally, after hearing about the months of enjoyment that my son’s friend continued to have we took the plunge and are so glad that we did. Don’t let the simplicity of the product fool you. There is a lot of trial and error in figuring out how to build a structure and I love watching and learning the tricks of building alongside my son. The possibilities, so far, seem endless. At some point we may consider adding some of the colored blocks to this set but, for now, there is still so much to discover with the blocks that we have.

I love Kapla
I bought this as a christmas present for my nephew. I don't know if I should call this a toy or lego, but he simply loves it. It inspires creativity and can engage a few kids at a time. If you can afford the bog set, it is worth it. Otherwise, try getting smaller sets.

A must have to balance out the effect of video brain
This is such a great non-video based product. It's great for a wide age spectrum, and you can just see the difference in the cognitive processing when the kids are playing with these blocks compared to playing video games. It's something that they can do almost anytime with out objection from the parents, compared to video games - which seem to cause such a disruption in the way the kids brains work. The blocks are numerous and precisely cut so that you can really build some version of anything you can think of. I think they are a must have for any house with kids up to 15 or so. I really don't' think there's a high end of the age group though. The large wooden storage box is great to store the blocks in, and is fairly easy to roll around. It is heavy though and can be difficult for the kids to pull over the edge of a rug. It's easy to say that the kids almost never get in trouble from playing with these, as opposed to from playing or having to stop playing, video games.

Fun for generations
Went overboard (yes, a pun) and bought this mega-huge set. It's more than enough for 2 people, but I'm hoping there will be more playing sometimes, and even then they won't run out of boards. Love the concept, the dimensions, the generic approach to anything the mind can imagine. Set includes 10 (1:100) boards that say KAPLA on them. Very nice set.

Four Stars
It draws video game obsessed kids out of their world and together with dad they are having a blast!

My grandchildren have loved these blocks and use them all the time
My grandchildren have loved these blocks and use them all the time. I even build towers to relax. The box these come in is wonderful once you get the wheels on it. The blocks are very simple but some real thought went into the dimensions allowing for substantial buildings without interlocking parts.

Kapla Blocks: Positive Impact for Children
Kapla blocks are amazing for children at all levels. This product was donated to an afterschool program and it has had a positive impact on children in grades K-1. It is a great tool to open the children's minds up to engineering and it promotes critical thinking skills and creativity. It has also been a great intervention for the children who are generally more active because it allows them the opportunity to refocus.
