The market is currently filled with trendy hair products. Well don't bother! This has been around forever and is the best. According to my long term barber, I have the most unmanageable hair ever, partly due to a double crown. It is tricky to cut well (hence the reason I wouldn't use anyone else!) and dense but unruly. I have wasted money on trying other products, but always come back to this. Best to use this Lite Formula, as the normal one requires you to warm the tub with a hairdryer first. This size tub lasts me over a year, as it needs very little to do the job each day.

This is a non-setting traditional pomade with a greasy texture. it will give your hair a very shiny look with a light hold My hair is thick, 3-4 inches long and slightly curly which I have slicked to one side. This Pomade does a good job at holding and looks great in the morning but by midday my hair looks unkempt. I now use American Crew which doesn't have the same slick look but holds better.. still not perfect though I'm going to try the normal version of this (pending delivery soon) which should give me what I need

Love it, only a small amount rubbed into palms is needed, but covers my hair better than the regular version and i prefer the lightweight feel of it. I am of mixed heritage and while my hair is naturally tight curled, its also quite fine. I straighten my hair and relax also every 6 months, and using this pomade after styling doesnt cause me any breakage or excessive product feeling in my hair. Used properly its a winner. I must reiterate that you only need a small amount, it goes a long way. E.g, my hair is shoulder length and ill use a 1CM blob and rub it till its warm and disperse through my hair. Love love love this stuff.

It's ok, value for money but for me with finer hair it leaves my hair looking greasy and hold isn't very strong. It may work better for people with thick hair.

I've owned this before, but repurchased through Amazon. What else is there to say? Black & White has been around for over 100 years for a reason. Pomade is of very high quality, especially for one that's mass produced. Smells great, by the way. Same pomade brand that Elvis and James Dean used to use, I don't know if they had the Lite formula back then, but this is just a lighter, shinier version of the original.

I’ve used this pomade for over ten years now. It’s the best stuff for short, really thick hair like mine. It holds great, providing flexibility without a greasy feel. I use a tiny amount, about a teaspoonful, apply to towel-dried hair, and it does the trick every day. I would not recommend it for thin or long hair. I think it will be too heavy. But for thick hair, it’s great.
