10Gtek AOC: The Solution for Stubborn 10G Connectivity
This 10Gtek Active Optical Cable (AOC) proved to be the reliable, high-speed connection I needed, especially after facing compatibility issues with other brands. Quality and Durability: The cable arrived meticulously packaged, protected in an ESD bag with caps shielding the transceivers and neatly secured by four Velcro straps. This attention to detail speaks to the overall quality of the product. The fiber optic itself is surprisingly flexible yet feels robust, contributing to the perceived durability. Although this was my first time managing fiber, I found it easy to handle and straighten out without worrying about kinking or damage. The transceivers inserted into the SFP+ ports smoothly and the pull tabs are sufficiently long, which is great for removal, even in my non-standard rack setup (though mine slightly hit the door, the fiber remained safely unbent). Performance and Compatibility: Where Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables failed due to the TP-Link BE800 router's selective nature, this AOC cable worked flawlessly with the router and my Netgear managed switch. It provided the critical 10GbE link I was aiming for. Testing the data speed from a 2.5Gb client through the router and switch to my 10Gb server showed fast and stable results, hitting around 2300 Mbps down (with a slightly lower upload—I suspect a bottleneck in the server's existing CAT5e wiring, which is next on my upgrade list). This reliable, high-speed performance makes the AOC an exceptional solution for tricky hardware combinations. Value and Longevity: Given its superior quality, immediate compatibility, and successful high-speed performance where copper failed, this cable offers excellent value for money. Since it resolves a major compatibility issue while delivering stable 10G connectivity, I anticipate great longevity from this vital link in my network infrastructure. The overall look is clean, professional, and well-suited for rack installation. Highly recommended for reliable 10G links, especially when dealing with selective networking gear like the TP-Link BE800.

Cheap and fast
Works great! Bought 2 switches with 10G SFP+ ports. Connected up and wow is all I can say. Much cheaper than buying fiber patch cables and transceivers. Worked so good I bought another as backup.

First-Time Fiber Win – Easy 10G Link Over 40 Meters
This was my first time running a fiber optic cable inside the house, and I have to say, I'm impressed with this cable. It's an OM3 multimode fiber direct-attach cable with SFP+ connectors on both ends, and was instantly compatible with both of my switches. I plugged it straight into the SFP+ ports on two of my managed switches, and boom—instant 10G full-duplex link, no configuration needed, no errors, just solid green lights and full speed right away. Performance has been rock-steady for high-bandwidth stuff like large file transfers and backups. What really surprised me is how much nicer this cable is to work with compared to thick Cat6/6a Ethernet cables. It's super light, super flexible, bends easily without feeling fragile, and routing it through walls or around corners was a breeze. (Of course, I haven't stress-tested it by kinking or crushing it—I'm treating the fiber gently like you're supposed to.) For anyone looking to push 10G over longer distances in a home lab or small setup without dealing with heavy copper DACs or expensive transceivers + separate fiber, this is a fantastic option. Plug-and-play reliability, great build, and way easier handling than I expected. Highly recommended—I'll definitely grab more if I expand! 5 stars.

Great fiber for the money
Low cost 10GbE fiber SFP+ cable. Worked well to connect my PC to my NAS using Lenovo Intel X710-DA2 NICs. I'm able to get full 10Gb speeds

I can't think of a smarter purchase
This is an amazing price and it works so good I wish I could articulate in words how this cable rocks

Way tougher than it looks
10Gbe? Check. This thing is blazing fast. Have my Unifi Cloud Gateway Fiber SFP+ port connected to this, taking it to my office and being distributed by a TP-Link Omada 8-port switch. I get full ISP speed without an issue. Have an SFP+ intel expansion network card on two PCs and a QNAP nas. The NAS is giving me about 3.5Gbe so exceeding the speed of 2.5Gbe ethernet, which is awesome. The cable, like any fiber, is a little trickier to run than regular Cat5/6/7/8. If you've never used this before, the cable tries to keep its shape and resist being tangled. I was trying to be extra careful but that all went down the drain when I tripped on the cable, stretching it out with a pretty strong tug on it. I thought I broke it. Ran upstairs to test it and it was still working perfectly! This thing is tough! The shielding of the cable seems to be of fantastic quality. The transceivers are of very high quality. The other thing you have to be mindful of when routing this cable besides trying to avoid very sharp radius turns (even though I wasn't particularly careful after my unintentional endurance test passed with flying colors) is that if you're routing it through walls, the SFP+ Transceiver is pretty chunky. I kept the protective plastic on it and used tape to keep it in place as I pushed it through holes I drilled in the walls to run it. It will require you to drill bigger holes than you would with an RJ45 plug or if you were terminating your own CAT cables. Overall I love this thing, the speed is unbelievable, the toughness is unexpected, and I have zero complaints. If you're doing shorter runs from a switch you have in a room with the other devices you're connecting, I'd go with a copper DAC instead of fiber, just for the extra flexibility because you can tie a knot with those things without losing throughput, but if you need more than 7m or whatever the limit is, I would get this. I would not worry about trying to find bend insensitive fiber. I think it is absolutely overkill. A small cable raceway is more than enough to route the cable with enough slack to avoid extreme bends.... if those extreme bends indeed affect throughput which I am not convinced they do with this fantastic cable!
