Mine is the oblong with six jade stones - which are about 1" in diameter - they're pretty large.It's just a nice cozy heat somewhat like a regular heating pad, but in other ways which are hard to explain, it's different. One thing is it's bulkier than a regular heating pad, so it doesn't bend as readily, but it's great for really sinking into those sore spots and areas that are really achy. I have FMS and it's been a big help for my achy joints when I feel bad and have time to rest.This heating/healing pad has a long strip with velcro so that you can hold it where it needs to stay. It also has an extra long cord so you can walk around the room if you want to - I don't, but I have forgotten I was connected and gotten up to walk away, and oops!
