The Dirt Girl- Award-Winning Story of How Friendship Can Overcome Bullying, Zafera Teaches Self-Love, Being True to Oneself Review: A gentle story about the gift of being different - If you know an unusual child who loves nature but perhaps struggles to connect with their peers, get them this book. Dirt Girl’s world is charming and special but when she starts at a regular school she is mystified by the other children and confused about why they some of them are unkind. It’s only when she takes a risk and invites them into her home that they realize how wonderful it can be to experience things in a different way. My only criticism is that the author has Dort Girl continuing to smile when the other children are mean. I think she would have/should have stuck up for herself a bit. Regardless, my two kids absolutely loved this book! Review: Beautiful story A Must Buy!!! - This book had me in happy tears more than once when I read it to my kids!!! I love the lesson it had to teach! It’s not like your typical life lesson of being kind to others who are different. It also teaches our connection to the earth. The story line and illustration was beautiful and not one bit disappointing. My kids loved it and it is now one of our favorite kids books. This author is amazing, we also bought her other book called The Seeking Tree which was also good. But The Dirt Girl is by far our favorite!!! I would say more, but do not want to ruin the surprises you get with every turn of a page! I suggest not flipping through the pages to see illustrations before reading, but allowing each page as you turn to bring you another unexpected surprise. It is what made the experience even more exciting for us. Overall I would say this is a MUST BUY!!!

The precious story it teaches children!
Ordered for my two 6 year old granddaughters for their birthday. Parents will need to read to them but the storyline is perfect! For them to learn and know since starting first grade! I always buy hardback books if offered!

A Delightful Tale of Acceptance and Nature’s Beauty
A Wonderful Book in so many ways The illustrations are vibrant and captivating, bringing the main character Zafera’s world to life in a way that truly engages young readers. My granddaughter especially loves the colorful depictions of Zafera’s nature-inspired home and her flower-adorned hair. What truly sets this book apart is its wonderful message of self-acceptance and embracing differences. It teaches children the importance of staying true to themselves and shows how understanding can lead to friendship and acceptance. The story beautifully demonstrates how Zafera’s love for nature eventually wins over her classmates. this is definitely a favorite for any 4 + year old child

Amazing!
I just picked up this book for my daughter's 6th birthday. There's just so much to relate too in this book for us. We are a pagan family that travels in our trailer to friends and families farms, where we feel closer to nature. My little witchling loves playing with sticks, rocks, moss and is always covered in a layer of dirt. She's going to absolutely love this book and the art is amazing. ❤️😊

Book about acceptance and individuality
I LOVE this book for my girls. My daughters became obsessed with it and it is such a fantastic lesson on acceptance and not giving into popular opinion. I think it’s a fantastic story and the fact that it’s about a little girl living her life just as she is and loving herself just as she is, I think it’s such a positive message. It’s great for all ages and such an empowering book for children! Because of everything with mental health going on, this is a great book to have in your rotation.
