These aren't knock off they are the real deal wrangler high-waisted jeans. Same exact pair as my other 3. I've starched them fresh from the packing and hold up great. No complaints and no issues.

Rigid Indigo These pants are stiff when you get them from raw denim, they need to be softened. When you look online people put sandpaper in the washer with them and a bunch of other crazy things, do this. 1. DO NOT WASH THESE JEANS WITH ANY OTHER THING. The water will turn solid blue. 2. I used an older washer with an agitator in the tube. 3. Run it through the wash cycle with your laundry detergent and a cap of softer. 4. After it finishes, spins, and starts to refill, start it over on the wash cycle again, but add a cap of softer. 5. This time after it finishes, spins, and starts to refill, add a cap of softer to the water and let it finish. I ran them through the dryer, pull them out, and now have a soft and great-smelling pair of jeans.
