I put this directly on top of a 8" carbon filter (vertically oriented). So far, it seems to work as well as the Can Filter it replaced. It had what looked like a little black weight clipped to one of the fan blades, and it didn't come off when I gave it a light tug so I just left it there. So far it seems to be running well so I guess it was a weight put on to balance the blade. I like that the remote plugs into the unit via USB-C, and that the cable is ~10ft long. (I operate this in my bedroom from my bed, so that's perfect). If you need this to run any more complicated cycles than 10 ON 50 OFF, you'll want the more expensive control unit. For my purpose this is great. I'm using it to replace a Can Fan that I think was destroyed by a Speedster (doesn't want to turn on anymore). I like the EC motor that seems to be able to run reliably at low speed seeing as ALL fans this size and bigger are loud at full power (this fan isn't loud, but don't expect to sleep next to it at speed 4 or greater). It's mostly synthetic material with plastic fan blades, whereas the Can Fan was all metal, but it makes this fan considerably lighter than the Can, and if it's rated at 1/3 the power consumption it's saving me money. It seems to move as much air as the CanFan, so if it lasts at least as long I will be pleased. So far I'm happy.

So far, this is incredible. I have it in a greenhouse, attached to a 6" tube going underground into a climate battery. It is fairly quiet for how much air it is moving on Max. The app is great, allowing you to control speed and see temperature history from your phone. You can hook up grow lights to it and adjust the spectrum so can do many things. My only (minor) complaint is that even on max brightness the screen is difficult to see in a sunny greenhouse. This isn't really an issue b/c I can see and adjust any setting from my phone so don't need to use the display unit.

This fan work well. Is very quiet. And works perfect for my 4x4 grow tent.

It does the job for a decent size tent or space. I have the 4in, 6in and 8in versions with filters. Had the 8in 6 months and never turned off so far. Hooking it up to the app is really easy and controlling it from anywhere is the reason I bought it and to check the environment, set parameters. Decent noise on full blast. If you hook it up without a controller it will run at full power. They will move the air These have been on sale for as low as 50$ with a controller and that’s a good deal. This had the old style controller included

I love this thing it's quiet and can really move some air plus the controller is super nice and connected to my ks5000 light with no problems I'm working on getting the fans also cuz I can't seem to find any nock off versions that use the type c connection that vivosun uses for the fan connection

Not only is the fan a good product, the smart hub that comes with it is perfect for me. It controls my lights,humidifier, and exhaust fan, and gives me alarms when any of my environmental elements are out of tolerance. Very good product and highly recommend it.

Great fan! I use this to vent my 3D Printers and I've used it for about a year and a half with zero issues.

Used it for a run so far it’s been running 24/7 now that it’s in the cure tent and it’s going strong Is a lil loud tho not horrible tho
