So it might say I returned this, but that’s only because Costco had a sale and I got an extra dust buster included too. But this thing is AMAZING. Top top feature is how fast it dried. I have a dog and a baby (and the husband too in fact) and trying to keep them off wet floors while it dries is a nightmare. This dries in like 5 minutes. It’s so easy to use. Lightweight. Don’t be deceived by the small water tank, little guy packs a punch. It propels itself so there’s very little effort into the push and pull movement. It has three modes that are great. Regular weekly clean mode, heavy mess/sticky max mode and spilled milk suction mode so it doesn’t add more liquid to the liquid and push it all around. Self cleaning mode is a dream. THREE TIPS… after any type use before carrying back to the charging/cleaning station do the suction mode a bit to help prevent the droplets from falling. Two, set a reminder after you start the self cleaning mode to go back and empty the water. You should empty the dirty water after every use otherwise it will smell, but when I put on self cleaning mode it takes about 5 minutes and I’d walk away and start other tasks. It wasn’t the end of the world and can be washed, but it is stinking. Three, ALWAY MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE DIRTY WATER TANK BACK ON. My husband and i have both done it. Clean the tank set it aside to dry and totally forgot to put it back. There should be an indicator sound warning you it’s not in- basically the only design flaw- but just double check! Ha. Spot cleans, whole floor cleans, messy mess cleans I would have paid $1000 for this thing.

Don't even think about buying this. I used it some -- probably not as much as I should have, but it was easier to grab the microfiber mop pads. Using the unit, involves running cleaning cycle, empty dirty water tank, drying dirty water tank, checking mop head and wiping off mop head - easier really to grab microfiber. After having it less than a year, it started leaking dirty water on to my floor. I contacted support and they told me to just keep sweeping over the area. Everytime I hit a grout line, dirty water would spill on to my floor. I uploaded a video again, and Tineco told me to send it in. However, I had just pulled off the roller and found a gob of something (dirt had built up inside mop roller) I cleaned it up and it seemed to be working. Tineco still wanted me to send it in. So I boxed it up and send it in,. I sent in a working unit and received back a non-working unit. Repair sent back my unit and it had a dirty water tank error. So I have to send it in again. This time they said the unit was unrepairable and the company would get in touch with me after deciding what to do. Imagine my surprise when they said they were sending me a new unit. My joy was shortlived. The new unit battery seemed to delete much faster than my old one -- but I that observation just seemed subjective - as the weird noise it made when cleaning the unit. Then, when I am using the unit I notice no water is coming out. My clean water tank is empty. There is a prompt that tells you when it is empty and I was sure I didn't miss the prompt. So I used it again - and no prompt. I contacted Tineco, and again they said to send it in. Now most people would ASSUME that a lack of prompt is related to programing, right? Not the service center. They replace the plastic clean water tank and send it back. NON-REPAIRED. I talked to Tineco again, and upset that it wasn't repaired. They claimed the clean water tank was leaking (HOW DOES THAT EVEN AFFECT A PROMPT?) Again they told me to send it in. THis time I mention the battery, and the weird noise on the self-clean AND THE LACK of prompts. After they did received the unit they advised me they were trashing it because it was unrepairable. I probably had used it less than ten times. So, I am expecting the same solution since I obviously got a lemon. NOPE. They offer me a refund of the rest of the time left on warranty. I argue with them, saying they send me a bad unit and I should get a replacement (OVER $200 thrown away) and they finally say I can have a refurbished unit. Well, after my bad experience with the repair center I have no confidence in their ability to repair units. We go back and forth - with me saying, it not my fault they sent me a lemon. End result, they refused to send me a new unit, and I refused a refurbished unit, accepting a refund. I probably used the first unit about twenty times and it cost me $200. 00 to have this unit for a year. SEE OTHER REVIEWS -- UNIT TYPICALLY LAST ABOUT A YEAR.

This is actually my 3rd vacuum/mop. The first one, the battery stopped charging after a few years and I took advantage of the extended warranty I purchased at the time I bought it (I always buy the extended warranty). They refunded me my full purchase price and I purchased another. That one, after a couple of years, started saying dump the dirty water tank when it was empty. I have to send it off to get it fixed. I am saying all this to give you a glimpse into the reliability of the vacuum/mops in general. This new vacuum is very similar to my last one but it also gets closer to the edges of the wall. A couple of weeks ago, I started getting the same message about the dirty water tank on this machine. I can't tell you how upset I was to have 2 inoperable machines. I went online and found a solution. The dirty water tank has to be thoroughly cleaned every time you use it, especially the 2 metal things that go into the actual tank that are attached to the cover of the tank. It's best to thoroughly clean the entire machine every time but if you don't have time, you have to at least clean the dirty water tank. I also tried the thorough cleaning on my old one but it didn't work. Anyway, my overall review is my floors would be very dirty without it. I have 3 dogs in my house and I use it every day to get up the dirt they bring inside as well as the dog hair. Other mops do not clean the floors. They get some of the dirt but if you run a white paper towel over the 'clean' area, it will come back dirty. I have done that same test with this machine and it is clean. As far as the rest of the features, there's very little difference between this one and my S3. If you can afford it, buy it. If not, buy an older version and it will work almost as well as this one. Sorry for the book but I really wanted you to see the reliability as well as the need to purchase the extended warranty. Hope this helps you decide.

This is a truly interesting surface floor cleaner and I'm actually shocked that I'm spending time to give my impression of it...but I think it is unique. Being cordless is wonderful and I do wish the charge would last a bit longer than the 30 or so minutes (as properly advertised), but that's not a deal breaker. The cleaner talks clearly to me, telling me how charged it is, when I need to re-charge it, and even (which is the best part) tells me when and how to clean it after use! There is very little mess with it (and I've had a number of others with great mess after use). It's best to use a laundry tub allowing the dirty water to go down the drain and having clean fresh water to rinse out the dirty water container and filter. I put down a couple of paper towels next to the tub to allow those items to dry off. The cleaner came with a nice bottle of their proprietary deodorizing and cleaning solution and you merely add a capful of it to mildly warm water filled to the line of the clean water tank. Of note is that when you turn on the cleaner by pushing the power on/off switch, the S6 Tineco has very little resistance and almost moves by itself. You shouldn't see a whole lot of wet floor since the machine judiciously uses the cleaning solution. So far (I've had the machine for about a month now), it works well as a floor SURFACE cleaner, however, it does not do a deep down clean that you'd probably get by being on your hands and knees. The other machines that I've had didn't do that either! It is lightweight and truly an economical product.
