I forget how quickly manga stories move. I could read 10 more books about these two. Truly they’ve carved out a place in my heart - and now Maya has too! Review: Been waiting on the continuation! - Came quickly in mint condition- no tears or bends. This volume is much bigger than the first one! The translation was excellent, a great read. The story is interesting and the characters are fun, so I recommend it for anyone looking for a good time! The extras at the end are so cute haha

Best Volume Thus Far, Hits Every Single Note Wonderfully
Theory of Happiness followed the more traditional blueprint for these sorts of romance manga doing little to nothing to stretch its wings beyond the gentlest of softest of entries in the genre. That’s not a ding against it or anything as it’s a really wonderful entry in the ever-evolving relationship between Kohei and Taichi and their feelings without focusing on the more ethically concerning and unsettling aspects that some of the writers like to include in these manga. The introduction of Maya and her muddying the waters between our main characters helped rocket their relationship to a new level. A love confession that Kohei reiterates with Taichi after a really dramatic moment forces Taichi to deal with his feelings. And then Taichi getting a job offer finally gives him a chance to face character growth and some type of maturation with what he wants to do with his life. Together, these pieces of plot add several elements to the story that the first volume lacked, and all of that is with the backdrop of the ever-declining aspect of Kohei’s hearing and the continuing difficulty of those who are only hearing-impaired struggling to find their place in the world. Ultimately, this volume is my favorite of the ones I’ve read so far as it hits every single note that I love. I got the misunderstanding involvement, the blatant confession from Kohei delivered with sign language that just works its way into Taichi’s mind making him finally realize things, and the aspect of time away from one another resulting in Taichi just realizing how much he needs Kohei in his life. Really, this is just plain wonderful and easily one of my favorite Yaoi manga in ages. Like we even got both a hug and a kiss scene that I just love love love to death in these, like, it was enough to make me smile so big and brightly, lol. Overall, really awesome entry.

Beautiful and Engaging Story
I’m ecstatic about the arrival of this book. I read it online, but I loved the story so much that I needed to purchase a hard copy of it! The manga came in perfect condition, and the cover is absolutely beautiful.

I can't wait for the third installment
Okay so I just bought this one and the first one and I had heard there was going to be a third one before I bought them. I just want to say this is one of the best BL I have ever read. It's calmer, respects boundaries, and is wholesome. The BL isn't all up in our face, which I like a lot, and is shown more of the friendship in a relationship rather than dominance and sexual attraction. The characters I think are well written out as well as how their lives are. The back stories are pretty paced and so far has shown us the general story. I can't wait for the third installment. It's coming out around Christmas so I totally know what I'm going to be getting myself.

Impactful!
If you loved the first volume, you're going to love this second installment. Not only has the artwork gotten better, but the story has become even more riveting and the romance brewing is dramatic! Just like the last book it shines an insightful and empathetic light on those who live with disabilities, and because of that it may be an emotional read. I couldn't put it down. It's no wonder this series has gained popularity. I can't wait for the third volume!

Lovely story. Drawings are great! So happy with the new arch with Maya she is such a great addition to the humor. I’m really enjoying how everything is trying together. This book feels special the artist really is putting her heart in it! I look forward to the “afterword.” :) also it’s a nice length so it doesn’t feel rushed! Already ordered the 3rd!

This second volume is far more emotional than the first not only because there’s a new character that comes into the picture, but because it’s focused on finding the meaning to your life. Going to college and getting a degree doesn’t mean you’ll be successful or even happy; actually, it doesn’t matter what you choose to do with your life, your goal should be focused on what you want, who you want to become. Is no secret that Kohei likes Taichi but sometimes feelings can be overwhelming –sometimes we don’t even know until time has passed and our chances are gone. Fortunately, Taichi finds the courage to confess his feelings towards Kohei, and he also drops out of college since he realized that he can do something for other hearing-impaired people. I’d like to add that the art style improved a lot and I’m glad I continued with the series because this is a new-adult manga that deals with important things I wish I had read when I was their age. Though it kind of deals with the miscommunication trope, by the end of the volume they talk things through and it ends up with a happy note. I seriously cannot wait to read the third volume! Totally recommend this!

‘The theory of happiness’ is a Continuation of ‘I hear the sunspot’. Beautiful story about hearing impaired college student Kohei who meets a loud and honest fellow student Taichi. This manga is about friendship, fighting for what’s important in life, finding your purpose and coming to terms with your feelings. Perfect for Young adults, slice of life with BL as a leading but not overwhelming topic. Sweet! I can highly recommend it for any slice of life, BL lovers.
