Small, useful and delivers on its promises
I was surprised with its small size, which is a plus. The box works intuitively without the need for setup and you can get going in minutes. The RGB is in a rainbow pattern by default, but with a firmware update you can get from the company's website, I was immediately able to control the lights from the Windows interface itself without any extra software, which was incredibly convenient. It comes with an HDMI cable of good quality. The only lesser component in the package is the 3.5mm cable, which was picking up some static, but it's cheap to get a better one and once I swapped, it was giving me 100% clear sound. Recommended!

Plug and play
Swapped from Elgato 4k X to this and seems to be working smoothly. Easy plug and play

Finally a capture device that supports this generation of consoles!
This is the first capture card to have the necessary 4k120 passthrough to allow for recording your XBox Series X/S or PS5 while playing games using both VRR and 120hz modes. The card also supports HDR recording though the format is P010(HDR) which is a format I was totally unfamiliar with and so it took em a while to actually capture videos without them looking washed out. The pros for this device is that it just works. OBS supported it without any issues though you need to make sure that your PC has a suitable USC C port available. The manual says that you need a USB C 3.2 port though I think mine is a 3.1 port and I had no issues with recording videos. Oddly while the USB C 3.1 port worked fine on my PC. The same type of port on a Mac did not allow me to use 4k60 recording. So your mileage may vary if you are using something lower than the recommended 3.2 port. The cons are that it was surprisingly difficult to find the Avermedia software to control the lighting on the device and adjust it's settings. Instead of downloading the version at the bottom of the product page you should in fact click the show more link and select the newest versions from there. Why Avermedia don't ensure the correct link is on the product page is a mystery. Overall this is a great product and I look forward to seeing if Elgato create a response to this. I am also looking forward to Avermedia updating their stand alone product (the one that records to sd cards directly) with the new HDMI 2.1 capability. I suspect I would happily get that version instead of this one if it had been available. Like many of you. I prefer to just play and record the footage without having to check a PC, set up OBS etc etc. Then transfer the data to something like Black Magick for editing and upload. Conclusion. Is this device worth the money. Yes with one exception. Currently there is zero support for ultra wide formats so if you happen to have an ultrawide display. Then steer clear until the promised support for such displays is actually available. Although Avermedia have promised they will support these displays. A promise if worth very little when your hard earned money is involved.

Better than Elgato
Genuinely so much easier to use than the Elgato HD60X. Had no end of issues with Elgato and this was practically plug and play

great tech let down by humans
don't buy for multi chan audio, its made by 0.6 iq people that most likely Dei hires, you have to have the device you wish to capture fully on before you turn the pc/laptop on with this very bad capture card attached

Excellent 120hz 2160p pass-through!
I ordered this to use with my PS5 and I'm so glad I did! It's one of the only capture devices that has actually worked and allows me to pass-through without a single issue. Everything is ticked on the PS5 when linked to my Oled and there is no stuttering or tearing, VRR and HDR gaming is smooth without interruption and I can record gameplay effortlessly whilst playing. It passes through Atmos to my receiver too. Others I've had would limit and my receiver would only allow 5.1 even through Atmos was ticked. It supports up to 2160p at 144hz and 1080p at 244hz but be warned the recording is limited to 2160p 60hz, no issue for me with that as the majority of games I currently play are 60hz but rest assured you can pass-through to your 120hz screen at full resolution whilst recording. Well worth the money in my view. I've had loads in the past which were a waste of money and wish I'd got this originally!

Excellent video capture card, exceptionally easy to set up and great results
If you are looking for a capture card, look no further than this capture card from AVerMedia. With the ability to capture at 4k 60 fps, and 4k 144 fps passthrough on a PC (or laptop), and 4k 120 fps on a console, this covers everything you need. Inside the box you get the capture card, which is quite small considering what it can achieve. There is also a USB C cable, audio cable and HDMI cable, plus instruction sheet. To use, install the AVerMedia software from the website, connect the USB cable and the HDMI cable and away you go. The software allows you to control the RGB lighting, and be as specific as you require for your gaming setup. In use, there is a very slight delay lag, almost un-noticeable, but it is there, however all capture cards suffer from this. This really is an excellent, easy to use and exceptionally easy to set up capture card.

Works well - recommended
A good product and easy to use. Only problem I have experienced is that you have to toggle the HDMI protection on and off before it works.
