Fast, easy claim process
Bought the 2yr protection on a $400 office chair. About 16 months in to the purchase the chair wheel broke and snapped off as did the footrest attachment. Send a couple pictures to asurion they refunded the cost of the chair. Very simple and easy process. I received the check about a week after they closed the case. I’ll definitely be getting an asurion plan for my replacement chair

Promises made, but not kept. Shame on Asurion.
Based on my experience, this company is scamming buyers by offering “insurance protection,” BUT file a claim on anything above $100 and you’ll probably go down a rabbit hole similar to what they put me in. No individual claims adjuster. Solely anonymous text and email communications repeatedly requesting more information and ultimately denying the claim. I highly recommend buyers considering purchasing an Asurion plan do their due diligence and consider multiple reviewer’s opinions before losing their hard-earned money.

Grateful.
So when I called Asurion the representative asked me if I wanted file a claim. I explained my situation. They requested I take picture of the merchandise and provided a link to send the pictures to them. I had a claims adjuster contact me and he noted the damage. He said it could not be repaired and refunded the cost of the merchandise to me minus the tax. I was surprised and thankful. Amazon would not honor my claim because it was over a year since the purchase. I had the merchandised stored as I was remolding the house and did not want to damage the merchandise. Turns out it was damaged when I unboxed it. I am thankful I purchased the Asurion insurance and for the representative honoring my claim.
