This adaptor does the job
I have used a programmable timer attached to an outdoor faucet to control the irrigation system for the flowerpots on our deck. The problem is that the vacuum breaker on the faucet is not designed for a constant pressure application like this; it tends to fail rather frequently. The solution is to remove that part and install this adaptor to attach to the timer. Then add a vacuum breaker to the output side of the timer.

just as described on web site works perfect

Definite better water flow
Cheaper solution to buy this, and buy a standard hose thread backflow preventer..

would buy again
Good construction quality but the threads were a little looser fit and required an extra wrap of teflon tape. Yes, would buy again

Well-milled
I got this for indoor use, trying to adapt a modern shower head onto the pipe of an older shower head, but this was too big, and I ended up breaking the showerhead, so I needed my property manager to send out a plumber to replace the head with the one I was trying to mount.I ended up not needing this, but it is a solid piece of hardware. Well-milled, sturdy, heavy, sharp threads that haven't been dulled by whatever can dull threads.
