Great battery does what a Makita should do and more

Chose this battery over cheaper alternatives after I read about problems with the alternatives. Charges normally with no sign of poor performance. Battery hardware and technology over the years has both got cheaper and improved. The manufacturer skipped the cheaper part

Genuine Makita produce (the best) good power and not too heavy. I only use original Makita others can cause charging problems or overheating and damage the Makita charger

Genuine batteries, decent price

Product is great, but I was lucky it was not stolen, the delivery driver made no attempt to ring the door bell or even use the post parcel box further around the fence, his idea of a safe place was on the floor outside where anybody could have taken it 😡

I've had a few "compatible" batteries from other brands, but I've found the hard way that the original Makita batteries last longer. They're also slightly smaller for the same capacity. I love how the little charge indicator on the back has 4 clear LED segments that stay on for a little bit when you press the charge status button. That helps make it easy to read if my fat finger is in the way. They also shutdown properly at the end and don't over discharge like some off-brands. These batteries aren't the least expensive (I wish they were), but time and again it's been worth it to have original Makita batteries.
