These shells are nice! They are large, but not all the same size. They have good packaging. I ordered nine of them, and they arrived in a well-packaged box. There were no damages. One of the shells inside had black spots, so I could not use it to serve food.

I hesitate to purchase shells due to concerns over how they are harvested, but in this case my need outweighted my ability to wait for shells available from another seller I trust. These came nicely packaged and although there was some damage, they were, for the most part, whole. The shells size was generally as listed, although there were a range and there were some slightly smaller and others slightly larger than listed. These have been bleached and are quite white, which makes them nice for painting or crafting. Seems to be a fair price.

The shells I received do not look like the ones in the description. They look like they have not been cleaned or prepped in any way. One looks like it has a bit of mildew. They are about four inches; they vary a bit in size. I would not use them for baking or serving food, they currently make me want to scrub my hands after touching them. I wanted to use them to display in a terrarium, arranging them in certain ways with sand and some small plants, but these are poor quality, they have an excessive amount of blemishes. The breaks aren't major, and are along what I would consider the bottom, not along the curved/ridged sides. They are thick enough, I don't believe they will break easily. I cannot use them as I wanted. I could have used the ones shown on the description page but cannot display the ones they sent me. I may be able to clean them up a bit, there are instructions on the internet, but I've never tried it before. They will not function the way the description page suggests, and I cannot use them in any kind of display as is. I do not feel they are worth the listed or sale price. The reason they have any stars is because they are scallop shells, they are the size listed and there are nine of them and because I may learn how to prep seashells so they look ok to display.
