Strong. Beefy shelf mounts.
Worked perfect for holding my large custom live edge shelf. The holes are close enough together to get all 3 screws into a stud.

Strong brackets
Solid brackets. We used them on some floating shelves made out of solid oak. We used 4 brackets per 10 foot board and hold the weight with no issues. We’ve had them up for a year and they’re holding strong.

Solid Brackets, Garbage Anchors
Brackets are great, would not use the drywall anchors they are garbage at best. Could pull the bracket right out of the wall. Substituted for toggle bolts (due to the large hole and they are super sturdy. Would recommend the backets but the anchors are garbage.

Install works great-- suggest a few tools to help
We installed 8 of these (24 screw holes total) and hit the stud on 23-- which was the part reviews made me most nervous about doing. Here was our trick- we used a stud sensor recommended by Wirecutter that shows both edges of the stud, and the green indicator light shows the stud's center. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064EICKG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title We also marked the center of each bracket, and aligned those center stud and bracket marks very carefully. While I held bracket in place my partner used a self-centering door hinge drill bit-- 3 pack from Harbor Freight for about $10- middle size worked for our screws. He first drilled a pilot hole in the bottom bracket hole. Then he installed the screw. Once that was secure we used the provided level to get the bracket straight. While I held it steady again he used the self-centering bit to drill the two upper pilot holes, then attached screws. It all took some time, but went great. We just missed the very last screw, barely, but put in an anchor and shelf is still very secure. Hope this DIY tip helps others!

Great brackets.
I am not an experienced woodworker, but I am pleased with the floating shelves I made using these brackets. I built them with 2" × 6" × 3' non-treated lumber, which I lightly sanded after notching the back to fit against the wall, since the brackets create a small gap. I then applied a pre-stain, stained twice in golden oak, and finished with two coats of oil-based polyurethane diluted 50% with mineral spirits. The leftmost and rightmost brackets are secured into studs, while the middle bracket is mounted into sheetrock using the included anchors (I tend to overdo things, so you can skip the middle bracket if you prefer). I also used these 1.5" screws to secure the shelves from underneath after pre-drilling: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFL7WQJ5?th=1. I hope this helps anyone who wants to replicate or improve on this result.

Unlike what they show in the pictures, those screw holes are not countersinked. You can do it yourself, but then the steel will be exposed. The inner edge is square and not as rounded as the outer edge which might reduce the load bearing strength a little. The powder coating is good which gives it a matte black finish. Nothing much to complain about really.
