This is a really nice instrument it create a beautiful sound… It’s not gonna blow your eardrums out but playability and feel is like a high-end piano. I’m very impressed with this purchase. You won’t ever have to worry about needing tuned either lol.

My grandson, a very accomplished pianist, says playing on this keyboard feels like playing on a grand piano. He was thrilled with the quality, feel and tone.

The weighted keys really feel like a traditional piano. And the sound is superb - exactly what you'd expect from Yamaha.

I took lessons on a real piano decades ago and sort of remember what the keys felt like. I bought a different Yamaha keyboard years ago but I just didn't enjoy playing it-the keys were also weighted but I think that there was a clicking sound when the key was released. This keyboard is awesome! To me it feels like the key movement mimics a real piano almost exactly. I'm currently in a situation where I'm trying not to disturb a roommate by playing early in the morning and this is perfect! I just got an adapter so I can plug in my headphones and I can practice any time that I want. I do love the different functions-I especially enjoy playing with the "strings" setting. Not sure if it's a real issue or not, but I can barely hear the highest two notes and they sound very tinny. I'd have to find a real piano to see if they actually sound normal or not. Since I don't expect to become a concert pianist-I think this is totally awesome for my needs!

This is a very good keyboard. I am impressed that it sounds and feels like playing a regular piano. I had not had a piano for 25 years and didn't consider buying one because I didn't really have space for it. My daughter bought one of these and when I tried hers I really liked it. Thought it would work for me and ordered one just like hers. I am enjoying it.

For $500, I was expecting to be a little more impressed. The keys don't feel like the acoustic pianos I learned on. They're not super responsive, and they don't have the fluidity of an acoustic. I tweaked the sound boost and the touch sensitivity. Still not impressed. I like the sound and the ability to play dynamics. Other than that, I don't feel like it's that much of an upgrade from my $200 starter keyboard. The keys feel pretty much the same on both keyboards. I'm returning it for a refund and will continue to do more research.

It’s only for a beginner because of the price point. The weighted keys are Yamaha’s standard. It’s close enough to a real piano to practice. I have been playing for almost 50 years and play advanced Chopin pieces. This is a great product. And the price is well worth it. Definitely ideal for the beginner in that you have a volume control and headphones…unlike a real piano. So, great for the aspiring student that loves practicing for hours everyday and won’t make the family suffer!

I am very pleased with the build quality of this device. I own many Yamaha products, mostly audio, From a B2 power amp, to NS1000 speakers, to AV receiver 7850. All have been high quality. This does not disappoint. Feels and sounds like a mechanical piano. Surprisingly heavy, 17+ kg. Not a toy. Very pleased.
