I have had dogs my whole life and have struggled with managing the dog's waste. I first took a look at the Pet Genie and thought it was a gimmick until I watch a product video. This thing is such a good product I want to tell everyone about it. It is so very efficient and simple to use and I have yet to notice any bad odor. I use dog waste bags to pick up the poop and place the bags in the Genie. It works great. I am a customer for life.

Great item and works perfectly. No mess, no foul odor. Easy to use *****Product Update***** This waste disposal pail is still great! It's now mid-December and in 15 Degree weather, snow, sleet, and ice, it is holding up just fine outside. It works just as advertised and is easy to use. It's simple; tie the end, shove it to the bottom, put the poop bags in, open the "trap" door, poop bags fall in, and when full just open the door, pull the bag material down, cut it with the installed cutter, tie the top end, pull out and throw away. Pull down the new bag material, tie the end, rinse and repeat. The 2-month disposal bag supply lasted me about 2.5 months with a golden retriever. Well worth the price.

I originally had the cat litter champ pail. I had it for about a year and the top part of it broke and so I needed a new one. At that point it was discontinued so I was searching around and tried to find something else. I found this one and honestly this one is drastically better than the litter champ. First off, I don’t need to clean the opening top part because the poop isn’t touching it. The way the bag part works is much less complicated. It’s much sturdier than the litter champ. The bags are heavy duty. I have noticed that it also controls the smell much better than the Litter Champ. I have 2 cats and only really have time to change the bag on the weekends. With the Litter Champ it would start to smell by Wednesday or Thursdays but with this one, it doesn’t smell at all. Overall, this was the best purchase ever. (FYI: I bought this in Oct 2025 and I’m just now rating it in Jan 2026 so I gave it time before reviewing)

I LOVE this product. I was using a regular diaper genie before buying this and would have continued to until seeing this. This product uniquely designed for pets is great. It's a good value for the money. I like the fact that it has a drawer you pull open for the poo sack falls in and once closed, you don't smell the dog poopies (even in the hot August summer). Just because I'm extra, I sprinkle some baking soda in the plastic bag when I tie a new bag, but you don't need to. This is a great solution. The refill kits are reasonably priced. This also has a little step on step that flips the lid open for you. It really is a stroke of genius. For comparison, I have an adult male golden retriever who poops 3-4x day. I can fill up the pail to its max in 2 weeks (if I forget to empty it weekly). I usually empty it weekly though. A refill pack usually lasts me 2 months if empty it weekly.

I do not believe in putting poop bags in indoor trash cans. It's just gross to me. However, I live in an area of NYC where there aren't a lot of public trash bins outside so when I pick up my dog's poop, I either need to walk an extra two blocks to the nearest public trash or find a residential trash bin to throw it out in. My neighbor very politely asked me to stop putting poop bags in their outdoor trashcan (lol) so I needed to find another solution. My roommate has a Litter Genie so I thought to myself there must be something similar for dogs and that's how I found this product. This has been a game changer. I no longer have to walk two extra blocks in the middle of the night just to find a trash can to throw the poop out in. I'm able to take my dog out for quick potty breaks now since I know I can go right back into the apartment and toss the poop. We keep this right at the entryway of the apartment and it contains smells relatively well. It's not perfect though. Some cons: 1) The poop bags do not fall down then you pull the tab. They aren't heavy enough. I always have to shake it a bit to get the bag to fall, and then I need to open to top to make sure it fell all the way before closing the latch. Sometimes I need to physically push the poop bag down into the bottom compartment. This process releases some smells since I need to open it to make sure the poop bag fell all the way down. 2) I also found that if you don't tie the bottom knot tight enough, the entire thing will smell bad until you change the bag. Not the best experience to walk into the apartment and just get hit with the smell of 8 poop bags all at once. 3) I really don't like the bag system where you have the cut the bag and tie a knot. I cut my hand on the slicer thing even though it claims to be child proof. I wish it just used normal bags like my roommate's Litter Genie does. That being said, the cartridge that came with it did indeed last us exactly two months (with one medium-sized dog pooping 2-3 times a day) Aside from those quirks, this is the best solution I've found to my poop bag problem and we'll continue to use it. However, if I come across a similar product that uses normal bags instead of the plastic tube, I'll switch over to that.

Handig, had ik eerder moeten weten en aanschaffen. Heb kleien tiewraps erbij gehangen voor afsluiten zakken. + Handig + Sluit goed af + Snijmes aan binnenzijde - Opening beetje klein - Geen deurtje aan voorzijde, dus via de bovenopening moet je de zak afbinden dat is onhandig. - Navulling duur

Con il cane che ha libero accesso al giardino, non è semplice tener pulito. Con questo bidone posso raccogliere i bisogni quotidianamente, li deposito nel bidone senza odori, e una volta a settimana taglio il sacchetto e lo smaltisco nel cassonetto. Il meccanismo di chiusura è semplicissimo da usare, ma estremamente efficace: igienico e anti-odore. Ideale per chi ha animali e spazi esterni. Si vede che è progettato da chi conosce le esigenze dei proprietari di cani. Un prodotto funzionale, pratico e davvero utile. Lo consiglio a chi vuole dire addio a odori e sacchetti sparsi ogni giorno!

Todo el funcionamiento es muy bueno, prácticamente no deja salir olores mientras esté cerrado. Yo le haría la boca un poco mas grande para poder echar las heces mas fácilmente.

Très pratique, aucunes odeurs ne s'échappent à voir quand je changerai le sac 😉
