I was genuinely impressed with how well CARPRO TriX performed as a dual-purpose tar and iron remover. I used it on my wheels and lower paint panels, and the product immediately went to work breaking down stubborn contamination that regular washing never touched. Within minutes, I could see the fallout dissolving, and after rinsing, the surface felt noticeably cleaner and smoother. The application is very simple — spray on, let it dwell, and rinse thoroughly. I especially appreciated that one product was able to handle both tar and iron, which saves time and reduces the number of bottles on the shelf. The smell is strong, but that’s expected with products in this category, and it’s a fair trade-off for the cleaning power you get. If you want a deeper clean beyond standard washing and you’re serious about maintaining your paint and wheels, this product is absolutely worth it. I’ll be keeping it in my detailing routine going forward.

There is no product on the market that works absolute magic. Some products are intended to work with a certain degree of maintenance. While I have no doubt these bad reviews are from bad experiences. I would have to say you are most certainly not maintaining your car properly and looking for a miracle or you are using this product incorrectly.

The pump is some special corrosion resistant thing for the harsh chemicals within. It didn’t work at all, and I ended up pouring out the liquid on to the paint work to not feel like this was a wasted product. Not buying this again. Will stick to Iron X.

There really is nothing out there that can replace TRIX, except a bottle of Iron X and a bottle of Tar X...but why bother when you can get the cleaning power of both in one bottle! This is my go to, 1st step cleaner for car rims. As it cuts through all the "heavy" contaminates, it turns a bright red/purple to let you know, it's doing its job. Just as a precaution, i would not spray this on and let it dry as the solution is very "strong." Spray, wait, agitate with brush if desired, then rinse off. As I mentioned above, do this as a first step prior to soaping up your car (and rims) for a wash.

Great for removing tar and brake dust, you’ll get through most of a bottle on a large car but do it once a year and it keeps the car properly clean. Use of wheels and the car’s flanks. Wheels often need a few applications as the brake dust bakes on. Good product

By far the best product for this application. Expensive yea but you get what you pay for. No other product comes close to this

Smell like absolutely disgusting, but work well on the paint.
