Airlines have different carryon size requirements. If 22" is max height this will not fit, which is unfortunate because its exactly what I want. I'm returning this item. **Q: Does this bag tip over when packed and standing upright?** A: No. At least mine never has, even when packed to the max. Notice it does have a handle on the front bottom which keeps it from tipping over. **Q: Is this bag airline approved carry on size?** A: The bag, in the "regular" set-up, fit without a problem. If you unzip the top to make it expand and become deeper, it may be oversized.Obviously, you will need to check with the individual airline (and the size of the aircraft could impact the decision as well). **Q: how tall is the bag? the dimensions dont make sense** A: 22 inches. It's a brilliantly designed small suitcase. It's also a bit of a tardis, and very sturdily made. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's an excellent bag, but the given dimensions are wrong! *by P***M on 29 May 2021* It is a great bag/case or whatever, but the dimensions given by Amazon are totally wrong. They don't include the wheels and the stabilizer bar, and other bits that stick out. If I had taken the dimensions given by Amazon as fact, I'd be in trouble taking it onto an Air France/KLM cabin. The wider internet is full of wailing about this. It's an excellent case/bag though. It's really spacious and well made. I won't mark it down because the wrong dimensions have been supplied.
