This hat is beautiful and well made. The interior of the hat is lined. It fits my head without any alterations. I thought the lone feather was a little anemic, so I added a bunch (12!) of black and gold dyed (longer) ostrich feathers to get the look I wanted.

This thing actually looks and feels well made
This is great for pirate fires or Renaissance Fires. The material is mid-quality—which is better than what you usually get at Red Faire, and the feather is a great touch. It is a good costume item.

What's up with that?
Why would you take a nice hat like that with a feather, then fold it into fourths, stuff it into a small plastic bag and ship it to me? Luckily I have a feathered to replace the one that was broken.
