Remains a good fast way for decent shave
The current day Norelco shaver remains about the same despite having been sold at least once, maybe twice through the years. It still delivers a good cut but still falls short of shaving with a straight razor. The build quality remains consistent and it remains a good choice for the man who just don't want to take the time to shave with a disposable razor this current edition of the razor believe it or not is charged with a USB connection, but that should not be a problem for anyone. It runs a decent amount of time on a full charge

Great Close Shave and Easy to Clean
Bought this to replace and older Norelco 2000-series shaver. Easy to clean with water from the faucet. I need only charge it every three or so days. Shave quality is super-smooth without irritation to my face.

quiet, sturdy, efficient
Some have complained these shavers are weak, but they're probably used to those foil lawnmowers - they make a lot more noise and can vibrate like an old truck, but they don't shave any closer or faster. The blades on this one seem to spin slower than earlier models, but I still get a great shave just running it over my face gently and slowly. And the trimmer's good for sideburns and light edge work. Don't let the quiet fool you. The spindles that turn the blades have a loose connection, so don't clean aggressively (as you can with foil mowers). Just use a light brush, and use it lightly. UPDATE: After several weeks I find myself impatient with the speed, and the need to recharge twice a week. But if you take the time, it does shave closely. Update: after a few months, it still shaves close, but it does require patience. The big foil lawnmowers are faster. Update 2: gave up on it. Charge lasts 2 days, and always takes 10 minutes to shave. Replaced it with a foil-head lawnmower that does the job quick.

Umimpressed.
My reference point is an old Norelco model I had before. Higher model number, but from years ago. MAIN FUNCTION - Cutting is unremarkable, and maybe slightly subpar. Same or worse than an older model I had before, which still had the original blades after years. - It's bulky. The awkward head/top makes it more difficult to reach some areas. - The flip-up trimmer cuts really poorly. Much worse than what I had before, and not talking about thick hairs. 2NDARY CONCERNS - It's designed unsmartly. The button to open the top for cleanup is positioned on the front, where it's sometimes accidentally pressed while removing the protective cap. - The top mechanism's plastic feels a bit cheap. The springy action isn't as smooth as the machine I had before. - More difficult to clean than the older model I had. The trimmings collection compartment is made of deep irregular nooks and crannies. - Doesn't come with a brush. Really? - Does come with a very thin pouch thing, but it's too thin to protect from trauma. I'd rather they instead included a brush. - No real charge level indication. Only blinks when it's about to deplete completely. - The adapter's output is 15V. Not standard voltage like 12V. OKAY - The only thing better than what I had before: the internal mechanism to hold/lock the 3 blades seems less likely to get opened by accident while cleaning up the trimmings. - The power adapter is decent. Long enough cable, not too flexible but at least a decent sheath material that I'm guessing will last. Not twirly (unsure if that's a pro or con). GENERAL One reason I chose it is that I wanted a machine that can work powered by mains even when/if the battery can no longer hold charge. No way to verify it so far, but the specs made it sound like it should. The battery-dependency is the main failing of the old shaver I had. (Couldn't find a suitable battery, otherwise I would've kept it. And what's up with battery replacement needing soldering?) In summary, if I didn't know better I might think it's a copycat design. And while this one's not expensive, "real copycats" are probably still cheaper, and who knows, might perform better.

Great razor
Well made with plenty of battery power to last all week. Plenty close for me , some women complain no matter how close you shave. I have tried the cheap ones and they don't compare to the quality of a Norelco easy to clean drys fast so you can just rinse after use. This is so much better than the silly 1 headed cheap one. This company has been making these razors for over 50 years.
