Works with DeWalt 20V trimmer, DCST922
Works on a DeWalt 20V trimmer, DCST922. Install was not too difficult. Use "Method 1" in the instructions, and use nut "B" that comes with the kit. All the nuts are different threading, and are clearly marked.

Slice & Dice o-matic!
Let me state up front that although this is "universal fit", and others claimed it fit, it does NOT fit the Ryobi Expand-It trimmer head out of the box. Ryobi uses a proprietary size left-hand threaded shaft bolt, and none of the included bolts fit. And the OEM bolt head is too small for a proper fit. I made it work, but the average homeowner would not be able to do so. Now that's out of the way, on to the good part. This is my first hybrid trimmer head, and my first time using blades. Holy Mother of WOW! The blades work equally well slicing through tall, fine Bermuda grass, or course-stalked St. Augustine. My Ryobi 40V battery-powered trimmer sliced through heavy 1/4" stalk underbrush with ease. And it sawed through heavier palm-from stalks quickly. Loading blades is quick and easy. They wear quickly using them against rocks, concrete, or fencing. For trimming along hard surfaces, use the string line. Like other pivot head trimmers, loading line takes seconds.

An excellent combo head
The head arrived quickly and works well with my Greenworks 18-Inch 10 Amp Corded String Trimmer, model 21142. I had to perform the process that others with reviews here talked about but it wasn't too bad. The head spins fine on my weed whip and I don't even use a larger gauge and quality extension cord. It is very quick and easy to change the whips in it and the saw blades, I've only run them separate for now. The whips do well for edging and along the fence and the saw blades did well on 1ft-1.5ft tree shoots. There was a dense population of them around a tree in the back yard and it ate through them well. It didn't bog down and the blades still have a decent sharpness to them. Probably cut up 75 of them total and they were clustered in packs of 10 or so.

Worked great, but wore out after one use
I bought a very similar Rino Tuff head from a major big box store a few years ago and liked it. However, after the 20-hour use mark, it had seen better days and I tossed it. Granted, that was 20 hours of going through heavy growth, cleaning out several drainage ditches that were overgrown. Fast forward to now...I bought this trimmer head replacement. Out of the shipping box, I was surprised to see that the packaging did not say "Rino Tuff" anywhere on it (see photo). Being a regular shopper at a certain big box home store, I'm used to Rino Tuff and normally buy it for my yardwork, particularly for my weed eater (Stihl FS95). Not a big deal though...I went ahead and installed it. Unfortunately, there was a bit of play from the hole on top and the drive shaft of the weed eater. I thought there must be a way to fix that, but neither the spacer helped (it was too thin to do anything) or the black pyramid-shaped cap (the hole was too small to get the drive shaft through it). Long story short, I was happy with how it worked, but after about four hours of use (it takes about seven hours to fully weed whack my yard...no kidding) the head ended up augering out around the top hole, which then loosened the hole with the nut. While the head didn't come off, it got really wobbly and I had to discontinue use due to excessive vibrations in the weed eater. I don't know what happened...it might have overheated from use, or it just might not last that long, but either way, it lasted through one use and that was all. That said, compared to my normal weed eater "bump" head, it was fantastic and I used far less string. I am going to buy another one, but this time in person, to ensure it is marked with the Rino Tuff markings, unlike this one I ordered here as I have a feeling they may be manufactured by different companies - a hunch, but given how long this one lasted, it's quite different than the one I used a couple years ago, and different than the one currently on the big box store's website. Will post an update if I find out anything more.

Great Trimmmer Head, But...
Although I have only used this product twice, I really like it, with the exception of one thing which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The buttons for the trimmer blades are on the bottom of the head and the dirt and all build up around them, making it to where you have to clean out the dirt in order to use the buttons. I seems to me that the company (AND I HOPE THEY READ THIS, BECAUSE I'M SURE OTHER'S WOULD LIKE THIS ALSO) should be able to redesign this to where the buttons are on top of the head and then it would be a 5 star product. Other than that, it really seems to be a good product. It says you don't have to use tools, but I found to get the used blades out, it's nice to have a small screwdriver to help you get it out, but maybe it is just me. Not enough to knock off a star for. With the exception of the buttons being on the bottom, this is a great product and I hope to get a lot of use out of it. I would, and have, recommend this to others.

Its a beast
I did landscaping for 11 years and I wish I had this for a few jobs. It tears through brush, like weeds, grass and even small bushes with thin branches (i didnt try it on any thicker branches yet). I cleared my mother in laws backyard in a fraction of the time it took me before, and it did a better job. I also used it on an electric weed wacker I got on amazon called: Greenworks 10 Amp 18-Inch Corded String Trimmer, fit just fine, no issues. A few pro tips: This is more for taking down a big dense area of brush, not for edging a lawn, it would throw rocks into the house buy replacement twine and blades, they did the job for me but they got busted up in the process so I suggest having replacements on hand. Be careful if you are going close to the house as it will do damage to anything it hits Have fun, its a beast
