If you do not get a red light, check the prongs to see if they extend enough
I replaced this exact same charger with one I recently left in the hotel on a vacation. I had no problems with that charger or the batteries and I would have rated them five stars. Replacement charger that I ordered would not charge any of the batteries. The lights would remain green as if the batteries were fully charged. After a bit of tinkering, I discovered that the prongs did not protrude enough, and I gently pried them out to make better contact, which caused the light to turn red hopefully indicating it is charging.

Seems to take a long time to charge batteries. Uses an older version of USB connection.
