Gave this kit to my 10 year old grandson for Christmas. He loves Lego and the only thing he asked for was a katana sword. This was perfect. He had no problem following the instructions and the pieces went together well. It took him hours to put it together and we had no moments of frustration. When he was done the sword fit well into the scabbard. It all stayed together as he pulled it out to pose, swing it around a bit and put it back in the scabbard. He was so pleased and everything went so well that I would not hesitate to give him other kits from this brand.

Got this as a gift for my boyfriend, and it's awesome. It's easy to build, has instructions, isn't too small, and looks lovely. Too bad Rengoku isn't with us anymore, he'd be so proud of the sword 😔

Now I’m gonna be honest, as an adult I didn’t think I would ever build a block set again yet here I am 😂. I bought this thing in November during Black Friday for my birthday but didn’t really take time to do it because I was getting ready for finals and long work hours for the holidays. When I tried doing it during the holidays I couldn’t for the life of me get going, so I waited until the holidays and school was over and on so I started I breezed by it faster than I thought I would. I had already had the stand built, just not the sword and I was able to finish it in 2 and a half days. Long story short, the final product is amazing and worth it. It’s big and great to look at. This was somehow therapeutic and was a great distraction from other things. I wouldn’t be surprised if I buy another sword set. I tried to write a review for the Rengoku one but it just sent me to my original review. Product never disappoints, only this time was different. I came across multiple times where I was missing one or two pieces, luckily this is my third sword build and I could use those pieces to replace it.

It is really a shame that Lego does not create things like this. This is a really cool brick built sword. It's a good size and, while a bit wobbly, it is not weak and can be held like a normal sword. And it looks really cool. This is definitely an 18+ set, though, mainly due to some really small circle pieces used to create studs beneath normal plates. Pros: Cool looking unique brick-built sword. Looks really good and didn't take very long to build. Unlike some other non-Lego sets I have bought on Amazon, the instructions followed my number one rule: Every piece connected to another piece when building. Cons: Build quality is suspect. I had to make several adjustments where I could with my own pieces to make sure it was sturdy. The stickers are long and cross multiple bricks which for some people is not desirable as you really can't take it apart once you build it (I didn't apply them due to this, though that might have helped with the sturdiness). Despite the book being a nice size, the instructions inside are TINY and hard to see. There were a lot of unused parts of the pages, so I'm not sure why they didn't make them bigger. I had to use the magnifier on my phone to get a good look, and even then the silver color made it difficult to see where pieces went together. Bottom line: For the price, this thing is great.

Bought this for my 13 yr old son for Christmas! He put it together right then and there! Some of the instructions were a little confusing for him so my husband did have to help a little! This thing is super cool and if you love DS and building bricks (legos)like we do, you’re going to love it to!

Update- seller reached out within 24hoirs and has provided a free replacement set. Wonderful customer service! Thank you so much. I will definitely be getting the other sets to add to my collection! I ordered this nearly a year ago (so way to late to returna and thats on me) and it's set on the shelf until I got it out today and began building. It's huge amd it's sturdy and has great quality HOWEVER. The stickers are missing. Ive run into several missing pieces that have halted the building process (I am in touch with lego to see if they have compatible pieces but waiting to hear back), and the building guide is very incorrect i.e it will say open bag 2 and bag 2 has all the pieces you need except 1 piece located in a completly different bag or has none of the correct pieces at all. I do hope lego can help with the missing piece as I think this will look incredibly cool on my shelf with other models. I'm also interested in the other swords from this seller but I'd hate to buy another and run into missing pieces again.

Brought this for my son as a Christmas gift. He built it in one night. He absolutely loves it. Such a neat thing to be able to build it. He loves having it on display in his room.

Takes awhile to build, but definitely worth it. Had a blast building with my daughter.
