Misleading advert - Neewer dropped the ball on this one.
Very misleading advert. Says it includes the adaptor plate for older Neewer products but actually doesn’t. That aside - it’s a very plasticky feel and the button is in completely the wrong place. Your finger and hand has to come off the contoured part of the grip and slide up to the handle to press the button, when lining up shots and ready to press record/photo, this nudges your shots and is almost unusable for its intended purpose. The quick release also feels like if you accidentally left or nudged the lock mechanism, would dump your phone/rig on the floor and I really wouldn’t trust it. Very disappointing this one as Neewer ideally do some fantastic, well designed and great quality products but I think they dropped the ball on this one, especially for the price I’d expect better. Only plus side is that the handle feels comfortable with the button issue aside. Will be returning this, and ditching the Neewer quick release mount system and going with a NATO adaptor from a different manufacturer.
