Only just fit for me. I had to use some frog tape to make sure it was completely water tight.

I read the reviews and checked the pictures, showing it was 50mm (and not 40 as per the description), which is exactly what (and most people probably) need; 50mm seems to be fairly standard for under sink fittings. It works perfectly for the washing machine outlet hose.

I think some customers may have been trying to assemble this incorrectly. As the pictures and video show the O ring seats snugly onto the back of the nozzle, (not the front). So that it forms a seal when screwed on to the threaded connector. All in all happy with the product.

This one-star review ONLY applies if, like me, you fell for the suggestion that this could be attached to a standard UK garden hose (3/4"). It CAN'T. If you're buying it to attach to the kind of hose used to drain washing machines and the like, then it would appear to be fine. If, however, you're trying to attach 40mm compression waste pipework to a garden hose (so that you can water your garden with your bath-water), then this is not the item for you. If that's what you're trying to achieve, FloPlast do a 40mm hose connector (available from Screwfix for example), that incorporates a screw thread option (just cut off the length of tapered, stepped plastic below the thread), which works perfectly with a hoze-lock style valve (i.e. the type that you'd screw on to a threaded outside tap, to fit your hose to). Works an absolute treat.
