Q: Why is this lower 1800kv motor rated to handle less weight than the 2200 sensored Castle motor?

The 1800 kv motor is a smaller can, it is shorter. The 2200kv has more torque and more rpms due to its size.

Q: Will this fit the notorious v5 ?

Yes it should fit, but you will have to figure out how to mount it. You might be able to take an RPM esc cage and screw it on that way. Hope that helps.

Q: Would this fit Traxxas slash 4x4?

I put this in a 1/10th scale car. I had to remove some material from both the jug of the motor and my transmission which it bolted to. Worked out awesome. However, if your looking to go faster I would get something that turns a little faster than this.
