Lambro 153W White Plastic Under Eave Vent, 3-Inch

We bought this for a specific purpose and didn’t get to use it so I can’t speak to its durability. It’s plastic material so it doesn’t feel like the strongest quality option but it does function as described and is the correct fit. It looks nice and would be great to install under a soffit.

I needed to replace an old soffit vent that I dry rotted and cracked. I wanted one that had a flat to help reduce the backdraft of air that comes into the house. This one fit my needs since there weren't many options I could find. I'm not sure why this doesn't include any kind of screen to prevent bugs but I guess they assume the flap is good enough even though it's not airtight. I simply added a piece of wire screen I had to the inside to help reduce the chance if anything getting inside. I was able to install the vent without too much problem and hopefully it will perform well over time.

I was in need of an exterior mounted exhaust vent for my flat roof addition and after finding no viable options at the big box stores I found this product on Amazon. Once the product arrived I was surprised by how sturdy the plastic construction was and how simple the design. Once installed I was very pleased at how easily the door swings out and allows for good exhaust and also that the door closes completely when the fan is off without being buffered in the high winds experienced on the day of installation.I ordered the 3" vent but make sure you use a 4" hole saw to allow you the proper room to pull tubing through and are then able to push tubing and whatever hardware you use to clamp the tubing to the housing back through. The vent mounts to the soffit with four screws (not included) and sits flush to the surface. I am very pleased with this product and would purchase again.

Needed to run a fart fan for a bathroom to vent under the house, just under the subfloor…not a soffit. I simply needed to prevent cold air from under the house from blowing back in to the vent pipe and this soffit vent worked perfectly and I have it mounted just below the subfloor. No issues with it closing itself after the fan shuts off.

I bought this to properly vent the bath fan exhaust through the soffit. The original install had the hose generally pointed at a perforated section of the soffit vent. The hose connection is 3 inches. I used a 4” hole saw and was able to connect my 90 elbow and snake I from the outside because getting that far back under the roof was tough. I still had enough wood to secure with four screws. I like that the flap falls closed when the fan is not on.

The builder had cut a larger hole in the soffit than the 3" exhaust duct required. So I needed a vent for a 3" duct that had a base larger than 4". That makes this item the perfect size for my needs; 3" exhaust duct and 6" base. However, the vent does not close all the way once the exhaust fan quits running. Also, I think the plastic material could be more robust. It's only been installed for a day and so we'll see how long it holds up.
