I also added a few fingerprints through the app so I can still get in if one finger doesn’t work for some reason. The app makes it really easy to manage everything. After locking myself out of my house, I decided it was time to change my locks to smart devices. I wanted a door lock that allowed for fingerprint and pin. The positive features of this lock are: *Fingerprint reader *Passcode PIN *Physical keys for backup *Backup power through USB ensures no lock-out even if batteries die (and it is the current usb-C, not micro jack) *Smartphone APP, which can greatly help in programming (registering multiple pins, fingerprints, temporary codes, auto-locking, other functions) The installation instructions were good. Lock and door handle seem solid, with no wiggle or loose play in movement as other handles have had. App works well as makes registering fingerprints and pins easier than programming with codes on the lock. Fingerprint reader works relatively well, but sometimes need to hold finger in position longer, or move and reset a few times to accept--do wish it was a bit better/more accurate, but its not bad. May try to re-register another print (same finger) which sometimes helps. It auto-locks within a few seconds, which is secure, but sometimes annoying (but you can change setting if desired). Seen a few reviews that state the lock is worthless and anyones fingerprint can unlock it, which was worrisome before purchase. But, this is a safety feature and clearly stated in the instructions: if pins and fingerprints are not correctly registered, it will allow any fingerprint to work to keep you from being locked out. You MUST register those pins/fingerprints correctly before the lock can function! Cannot determine how long the batteries will last at this time, and of course how often the lock is used, autolocking mode, ect. makes any claim meaningless. Mine has been going (with constant auto-lock) and a few unlocks a day, for 2 months with no issue so far. I like the door handle lock for its color choices, and fair price for the many features, which all work well.
