So far i am not new to automotive systems, but i am to obd scanning. I am impressed with the depth of ability so far. On my sentra cvt i can change the value of engine braking it produces. It shows so much live data on my 16 silverado, 11 mazda cx9, 15 altima mulitple fuel pressures each tcm sensors, tpms, internal temps, ignition timing and so much more. Graphing all or selective outputs is awesome. Wanted to put it though as much as i could fast to see if the hype was true or a expensive mistake, but i drive truck and have limited time. From what i have seen i am certain i made the right choice. No regrets yet. Will update if needed. I am not a paid reviewer. Just still amazed at it after only a few weeks. Have not needed coustomer service yet so i can't rate it. Lol UI is not bad. Every tool this indepth has a learning curve no matter the experience level.

This is the best bang for your buck high level scanner you can buy with unbeatable two year FREE software updates. This scanner is the newest model of the X431 V+ with the added memory and updated processor I was concerned that it might be the old model with the red trim on the tablet case and lower specs. I haven't had the product only about a week and a half, found slow functioning injector on a 2007 GM LBZ Duramax diesel (I was trying to locate source of engine vibration the dealers said didn't exist). Then I scanned my wife's 2009 TDI Jetta for door switch problem, lights not coming on switch works door sensor bad. it works and the value beats 100$ or more an hour for dealership or shop rates. only issues I ran into is instructions need to be clearer on initial setup and the unit is not covered by Launch-tech USA. I did get response from Leoglobal but it seemed like a day delay on each question I posted. But now it's up and working a very valuable tool.

If you have knowledge to repair vehicles, this can save you tons of money by not having to take your car to a dealer or 3rd party shop for diagnosis or programming modules. I’ve reprogrammed my ECM to reflect the correct VIN and codes went away. I’ve programmed key fobs that only dealerships can do. I’ve calibrated the speedometer which helped me save money on speeding tickets. This item is well worth the money.

I dislike that The technical support is based in China and its almost impossible to contact and Launch TecH.Co. is being sued by Ford USA in a case that involves software copying and infringements that could result in penalties which include effects such as restricting X431V users software updates and downloads. The Launch Tech Co. could also be a target of the Executive Order restricting Chinese Technical companies access to US based cloud systems. I use to like the instrument but since trying to renew my software it has become one big ole paper weight.

I was looking for a professional scanner that could do everything that the big brand (SnapOn/Matco/etc.) scanners could do. This scanner is great! It does everything I could want it to! Great product at a great price and fast shipping!
