I purchased 3 sewing machines from China, the motors of which need 220V AC in my tailor store. But my store only has 110V AC, so I cannot drive the machines. Moved to Europe and wanted to bring my Breville espresso machine. Settled on this 4000W converter because of it automatically setting the correct conversion based on input, and thus no switches to flip, and no risk of getting it wrong. No annoying noise or smell, does not get warm. Sure, takes up space and is heavy, but that comes with the territory and actually looks better than many of its competitor. Havde used it daily to make 4-6 lattes for two weeks and continues to work silently and reliably. I do switch it off between use: switch off espresso machine, then the converter, than the outlet - reverse when starting using it. NOTE: I gave this transformer 5 stars, but during the posting it somehow reverted back to 1 star. I have tried to correct it sevel times with edits (including this one) - This is a great product - I am so sorry to the manufacturer/seller

It just didn't work. Other more electrical savvy individuals explained this better than I can. But, per my understanding you can't go from a 5-15 or 6-20 plug (such as is provided with the unit) which works off a 120 volts at 15 or 20 amps (in your fuse box) max and powers 1500-2400 watts max. It's cute!! .,.,.,. if you dig bright red metal stuff. And that is about all it does...is remain a bright red eye soar of mis-spent funds sitting very unused in my closet.

I came to a point in setting up an air pump that I needed more voltage specifically going from 120vac to something in the neighborhood of 220vac. While researching and identifying a solution I came across the OLTEANP 6000 WATT Converter/Transformer and I immediately liked what I saw. The power range was good and the useful features of this transformer were exactly what I needed. It is generally a good idea to know in advance how much power you will need and know what model of transformer will accommodate your requirements. To be sure I had enough amperage etc. I merely purchased the 6000 Watt rated one as opposed to a lessor wattage version. This model is easy to use directly into a 120vac wall plug and then plugging in the air pump directly into the transformer for 220 volts. My amperage requirements did not exceed the circuit breaker limit on the plug for the location for the transformer and consequently all is well with no shut off during operation at the house electrical breaker panel. The transformer appears to be well made and it was a nice solution for my voltage needs.

Purchased one 6-mo ago. It worked well. Purchased a second, but have not tested it. BE AWARE the input plug is designed for 120VAC x 15Amp (common US residential outlet). That means it can supply only 1800W before tripping typical residential circuit breaker. HOWEVER, when used on 240VAC circuit (Europe and much of world), it performs as a step-down transformer and outputs 120VAC, and it has the potential to output up to 3600W (240V x 15Amp), but you'll need a plug converter to adapt common US plug (2 vert spade + grd) to Euro plug (2-pin + gnd or similar).

Works really well! I have not tested to see the maximum wattage but use it with a Dyson hair dryer and a Ninja blender (1800 watt rated) and both work extremelly well.
