The other important design feature is the use of two adjustment bickles as as to allow the pad to stay where it is and the length of the strap be adjustd according to user desired. Cheap straps only has one adjustment buckle and invariable they end up at a position along the strap where it sits on your shoulder and digs in. Remember the sliding shoulder pad mentioned above ? Well it is useless because it can't slide under such an adjustment buckle, precisely where you want to have padding to prevent the buckle hurting you. So don't buy a laptop bag without buying this strap. These are the reasons why I am throwing away all the original laptop straps away and to replace with theis one. The padded piece doesn't slip off the shoulder, so that's a bonus.
