Viking Truck Bed/Wall Rod Rack

First off, this is a great product and is very well made. It will take you a while to put it together. Additionally, I painted mine with Gorilla Rubberized paint on the rod tubes so it wouldn't scratch reels. I rolled a piece of printer paper around the tube and taped it down with painter's tape. Don't use the Gorilla stuff. It is chalky and not rubbery at all. Find something else that is better. Bedliner spray maybe. So the pics you see are of it mounted at the rear of the truck bed with the rods facing over the cab. I didn't want that because I need to load cargo in for fishing at the rear of the bed. I have a Toyota Tacoma. There are two small holes in the bed at the corners near the cab. I screwed in eye bolts to attach ratchet straps. So my rack has two ratchet straps going down and back to those eyelets and two more going to factory-installed d-rings at the back of the bed. I will attach pics.

We purchased this product to install in my husband’s RAM 2500 to carry his fishing rods to/from the marina, so they wouldn’t bash around in the bed or get crammed in the from seat. It’s been installed for 3 months and fits the bill. It’s very well made.

Looks like quality build. Mine was missing the wall bracket and has a bunch of extra hardware.

First, this was harder than it should have been to put together. There’s directions but nothing is really labeled. We had to just try our best to match the picture to what we assumed would be the correct bolt/screw etc. so took a lot longer than it should have but in the end we got it done I’ve had this in the bed of my truck for about a month or so now and the supporting bolts on the bottom of each rod holder (to stop the rod from slipping out the bottom) is already rusting. Other than that it serves the intended purchase. Will probably go to the hardware store and try to fine some better bolts that won’t rust and swap them out. But overall, decent price and gets the job done. Also, clearer instructions would have been helpful!

Easy to lock in bed of truck. Added 2x4 across to hold in better. No more bent poles or tangled lines on the way to fishing.

Takes a little time to assemble so if you like to complain about assembly maybe not for you. Worth way more than what they sell it for, Comes with everything needed.

There are tricks to securing this in your truck bed. It serves its purpose fine and seems rust proof so far. We haven't had rods scratched but many say to coat ends with rubber. Also, some creative ways people have secured this in their beds.
