Genuine part….worked fine.
Recently a GE range needed to be moved out of the kitchen in a rental unit. The oven door was easily removed and set aside. While it was laying flat on the floor, both hinges, one at a time, snapped closed. So much spring pressure that one of the hinges damaged the porcelain around it. Poor design. I could not reset them, so ordered new hinges. They installed easily after straightening when the sprung hinge bent the frame of the door, and it’s good again. Hoping the locks on the new hinges will hold better. These are new genuine GE parts. I had recently bought a new General Electric stove (7 years newer than the one I just had the issue with) and I looked at the hinges. Completely different, so I think GE realized the hinge has issues and came up with a new design.
