While one would think it would effect greasy or oily looking and feeling hair based on the ingredients, it does not. It seems to be quite lightweight and I think the best way to describe the effect that it has is to say that it provides a "slip" to my curls that make them bouncier and shinier and seems to protect against frizz. What I especially love about this product is that, unlike so many of the other products on the market (like ALL of them!) I've found to be just rather greasy, if not done right slimy, and they attract dirt/dust. While they might make one's hair look nicer for the first few minutes, after just a little while it seems that shiny frizz is produced that attracts dust or dirt. That doesn't happen with this product. YAY! My favorite way to use it is to put three squirts into my dollop of hair conditioner after shampooing. I use Clairol Herbal Essences Rose Hip Conditioner after shampooing with Johnson's Baby Shampoo. YES... I have found that with my naturally curly and extraordinarily fine hair that Johnson's Baby Shampoo is the ONLY shampoo that does not cause dryness and other strange things to happen to my hair. Ignore the nonsense about sulfates. They are a NECESSARY agent to lift the oil and sebum and dirt from one's hair especially if it is super baby fine like mine. Because of the fact that oil does not get distributed well through curly hair it does need a little bit of help and that's where this amazing Nexxus product comes in. After rinsing my conditioner and Nexxus oil combination out, I use Nexxus Cashmere Curls Gel Cream on my towel dried hair all by itself. For the top of my hair, which I will either loosen the curl with with a curling brush or a blow dryer, when my hair is almost dry, I mix one squirt of this in with another squirt of the Nexxus Cashmere Curls to protect it from the heat when I am finishing it. It is almost unbelievable how well the two Nexxus products work together. It is an extremely pleasant and welcome bonus that this product smells so amazing too! It is not so overpowering that it will clash with your favorite perfume. It leaves a pleasant, very light scent throughout your hair. I LOVE the smell of the Nexxus Cashmere Curls Gel Cream too but it very rapidly dissipates. When I mix a little bit of this in with that the scent is just very pleasant and seems to last. I keep one bottle in the shower so that I have it handy by my hair conditioner and one bottle with my styling tools. OH! I almost forgot to mention...purely by accident did I discover that it is also wonderful for your cuticles. When I got my first bottle I was so enamored with the scent that I didn't rinse it off of my hands when I first used it and I found myself massaging my cuticles. It softens them and makes them much less noticeable between manicures but doesn't make my hands or fingertips feel oily or greasy.

I used this Nexxus hair oil on wet hair, combed & let air dry overnight; as I have long, thick, curly hair. It helps detangle & hair feels soft. I have used add'l oil on dry hair before combing out to help detangle for styling an up do. It does not have an oily feel on dry hair or a residue that transfers to fabrics or build up as some oil & silicone products. Light fragrance dissapates so it doesn't keep one awake at night. Easy pump application. Small, attractive bottle is recyclable. I like the performance of this oil better than more expensive brands/products I have used.

I was worried about getting this because I’ve tried a lot of hair oils and they always leave my hair feeling and looking like it needs a wash. Not this one! It works very well, It’s lightweight so you only notice the difference in softness of your hair, and it doesn’t look nasty. My hair is usually dry but after using this (on either dry or damp hair) my hair feels hydrated! I have hair down to my mid back and use 3-5 pumps depending on how evenly I spread it from mid lengths to the ends. I also like to add 1-2 more pumps on my dry hair because it does have a faint & pleasant scent to it that I can’t get enough of (I am obsessed with my hair smelling good). It comes in a decently sized bottle, with a good amount of oil for the price. All around a great addition to my hair health routine! Highly recommend!

Smells great, not heavy on the hair but will build up over time. Make sure to clarify at least once week with this. My hair is super shiny and keeps the fly away down.

I needed a good hair care product that was high quality with a great price and I found it with this. It makes my hair beautiful, so soft and a great shine. I feel like its really helping my hair and my hair is really starting to get its shine back! Dont skip this one!! Doesn't make your hair feel oily or greasy! I use a pump on my ends or use two pumps on my mid lengths to ends and I noticed a huge difference with how soft it made my hair and how much shiner my hair looks and my split ends are softening. Good quality product!! Also works on frizz!

I was using a product for over a decade that's no longer sold and I had just run out of my stock pile. I searched and searched, running out of money until I found this! WOW! This is as good as my old product, if not better. I have thin hair but a lot of it and it's not straight or wavy, without blowing it, it's a bit frizzy, and when blowing it straight, while my hair is nice and healthy (thank you lock down - I grew my hair out), without it, it gets frizzy or loses it's shine and straightness in humid or wet weather. Not with this product. The shine is amazing. It's very lightweight, it doesn't way down your hair at all, on dry ends it's "dry looking no more!" I put a tiny bit on my palm, gently rub my hands together and get it on each part of my hair, then blow my hair out. The shine is amazing with absolutely no weight to it. The next day or 2 days, if I don't want to wash it again, I put a tiny bit more on my hair and put a quick brush and blow dryer to it and within a minute it's straight and shiny again. So happy I found this product, I highly recommend it!!!

I really like this hair oil! I have been using more expensive brands for years (ghost oil, olaplex & even k18) but honestly this one is just as good. It makes my hair super soft and doesn’t feel greasy. It’s light so it doesn’t weigh down my super fine hair. The scent isn’t over powering and it doesn’t have that thick feeling like some of the other less expensive oils.
