But these cloves do not state “organic”?** A: Frontier indeed sells a more expensive version that is certified organic, but I am sure that this one is fine. Frontier's "Simply Organic" brand has a USDA Organic version for $16.50 at the time of answering this question. USDA Organic certification is expensive for producers, even if they were already doing what it takes to be considered "Organic", and usually the governmental fees are passed on to the buyer.
