I think the pan is aluminum. Still working great though. **Q: Can you make an omelette with only 2 eggs or do you need to use 5 or 6 eggs?** A: Yes you can but 3 works for me! Thing is you have to get used to it and making them. Getting the right amount of eggs at the right temp so they don't burn!! **Q: Does the handle get hot?** A: The long handle does not get hot. It may get slightly warm to the touch. However, the small round handle on the lid does get hot. I use an oven mitt or pad when handling it. This omelette maker works great once you get used to it. **Q: Has anyone used one of these to make Quesadillas?
