Indeed bad design
Didn't understand the top review, but now I understand having seen the product. The fixing screw and the tolerance on the machining is so poor that when you screw it in, the whole back plate tilts compared to the body. You have a choice - to keep it wobbly or screw it in properly but the whole thing becomes crooked

Terrible quality
One half doesn't fit perpendicular to wall. The other side can't be tightened and wobbles. Really imprecisely manufactured. Doesn't fit well at all. About what you would expect for the money!

Easy, two part installation. Be mindful of where you install, if too close the window frame, you won't be able to slide the main bracket on once the screwed piece is on the wall. Otherwise, good. Not fussy, simple product just to hold the curtains back.
