I use this scabbard while harvesting and butchering livestock. works great. keeps the knives clean and safe, and I love that I can throw it in the dishwasher for an easy clean.

Nice and light but a little smaller than I thought, my 10 inch a little too Lang.

Just what I needed for home meat processing, depending on what I am doing I have 2 to 3 knives in this scabbard when processing meat on the farm. When slaughtering I have a Sticking knife, Boning knife and skinning knife. When processing I have the 7” Butcher knife and Boning knife, I don’t like others using my knives and it keeps them in safe reach while doing my work. This doesn’t have a place for a knife steel, but I will set down and drink a cup of coffee and sharpen my knives when they need sharpened.

It works as it is supposed to

Does not hold knifes well.

Because of how close the chain loop openings are to the main opening of the scabbard, it can be really easy to slip a thin knife through chain loop opening and stab yourself in the hip.Get a scabbard that has more distance between the opening of the sheath itself and the chain loops.
