A friend of mine drives a Ford Fiesta which has built-in ambience. I thought it was such a nice touch that there had to be a relatively cheap modification that I could put in my car - and that's when I found these.I chose this specific model over others because of reviews and because there's a few of them on YouTube, too. I also went with this version because you can control the lights in two ways: with the small remove attached or through the app on your phone. It's really convenient and being able to switch with ease on your phone is really cool. I've never had any issues connecting the lights to bluetooth and controlling them. They app has worked wonderfully well and adjusts according to what I press.As for the lights, I really do love them. They're quite bright, especially in a small setting like a car, so I definitely enjoy the brightness feature. Within the app, you have a massive amount of colors to choose from, which also makes these lights extremely cool.They also work with music by listening to the beat and changing accordingly. I know that some people have expressed disappointment with this feature due to the lack of fading from one color to another - they kinda just switch over. It's not a gradual color change. Personally, this doesn't bother me as I don't really use this feature when I'm listening to music, but you're also getting what you pay for, and it's such a small sacrifice.In terms of installation, it really wasn't difficult. The most difficult thing about it is you trying to contort your body to weave the lights between your seats. I did buy extra 3M tape to hide any visible or hanging wire as the lights had plenty of length to them to fit around my whole car - the most noticeable wire was on the driver's side, to which I just taped the wire to a panel near where my left foot rests. Basically, I've secured them so that they're really not visible and they lay under the floor mats without having to remove the side panels within the door frames.All in all, I think they're a great buy. I can't attest to longevity, but I'm also not using them constantly unless it's at night. The tricky part about these is figuring out how to hide everything, and all of that is so dependent upon your car. But with a simple look around and getting clever, it's easy to properly hide the wires and enjoy a little more vibrancy in your ride.

I loved using these leds.Obviously at night when you could see them better made the best vibe for night rides.Tbh me and my friends would turn them on and listen to music and smoke, just chilling and vibing. (Your choice of smoke is up to you *wink wink*)I would definitely recommend these!Just word of advice, remember these are charged by your car battery, so I wouldn't leave them on when the car isn't running or it will run your battery down.Also... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD... if your able to install them in a way where you can't actually SEE the strip and its able to give a hidden glow... PLEASE do that. It's just my personal pet peeve when people install any sort of lights for their car and you can SEE the light source. (Like around the wheels for example, if I can see the light then you drive then you did a horrible job in my opinion) but I say IF you can hide them because I couldn't hide the strip for the backseat but I was able to for the front.

I have returned 4 LED light sets (1 strip and 2 rock) to Amazon and 1 to Walmart in the past 3 months trying to get one that worked. None of the light sets was from Minger. Most of the problems was APP related. The apps would not work or stopped working or would not work with my Smart phone, etc. And without the apps you have a non-working LED light set.I did not want to try the LED light sets that had the wireless remote control because the wireless control seemed cheap looking and easy to break or lose and I preferred to use my smart phone to change the colors.This LED light set from Minger seemed like the solution to my problems. Now if the APP did not work with my Smart phone at least it had a wired in controller that I could use. I have a similar setup on my home computer that uses a wired 3 button controller to control light colors and functions, so I know how to use them.Well my order arrived today on Monday which is fast since I placed the order on Saturday. I hooked up the LED light set to a battery charger to test the lights. I tried the 3 button Controller that comes with the set and it worked fine. One button is an on/off switch, another button changes the LED colors and the third button is a mode button that also changes the brightness of the colors. The Controller is small enough to tuck between the seats, or put in a glove box. Or permanently attach to an easy to reach spot in your car or truck with the self stick tape on the back of the Controller.In addition to all this - the APP from Minger works on my Smart phone. I prefer using a Smart phone to control the LED lights, but it is nice to have a wired in Controller to be able to use in case you do not have your Smart phone with you.I will probably cut off the 12v plug that comes with the LED set sometime in the future and just hard wire it my my fuse box. But for now I will keep it as is. I am just glad to finally get a LED light set that works. Also the APP for this LED light set "IHOMENT LIGHT" is working great and is easy to use.
