Bought this after watching a video on social media. It's not terrible, but I've had better results with a normal knife with some teeth on it. Helps if your butter's room temp.

Doesn't work! No better at spreading cold butter than any other ordinary knife. I don't understand why there are so many positive reviews (or maybe I do ... ).

Meh. Just doesn't seem to work very well for what should be a simple task. The holes are a bit of a gimmick (they just create a bit more mess) and I think it could do with being just a little bit more flexible to work properly. I've tried it on butter straight out of the fridge, butter left out for a little while and spreadable butter but haven't found it to be any better (or even as good as, as it's unsatisfying to hold) than a standard cutlery set knife.

I used to absolutely shred my toast whenever I buttered or jammed (or both'ed) it. This spreader makes it so much easier to apply a liberal amount of spread onto my toast quickly, meaning I'm less likely to rip a hole in it. I still don't know how to use it effectively (what's the point of the circles along the edge? Should come with a tiny instruction card lol), but just the fact that its a larger flat surface already makes it easier to butter my toast. Clean up is a little bit of a pain since, because it's just butter and it's a larger surface, hot water isn't enough. Just add a drop of dishwashing liquid (or use a dishwasher) and it's no problem though.

Works like a dream with two different edges for making hard, cold butter spreadable! Really awesome, heavy duty, well-made and effective product.

Never knew that I needed special Butter Spreader until I got this product. I love it! The design & functionality are so much better than using a regular knife. Very pleased & great value.

My daughter uses this butter knife every day.

I've used this on margarine, butter and 'spreadable' butter. This works as advertised and makes the individual strings. It makes it slightly easier to spread because of that, but not as much as I expected. I use it every time though so for a price that's only slightly more than a normal butter knife, its a decent purchase.
