The Best Protection Currently Available
I'll begin by stating that I have no affiliation with DVein, have never contacted them, and have no incentive to write this review beyond extending my support for a quality product. So first things first, I'm a working professional diver, and that I beat the HELL out of my gear, so I'll critique the performance of these gloves under extreme use. After having cycled through some 4 or 5 different products to protect my hands (which are regularly damaged in filthy water conditions), I have found that I can't really get away from paying the more premium price for DVein's gloves because, quite frankly, they're the only things that hold up to the abuse. I have tried gloves at the zenith cut level of A9, and these gloves deteriorate as quickly as the others, likely because they weren't intended to work for extended periods underwater. Most of these alternatives, though more economical, are filled with cut-resistant fibers that are obnoxious to the skin once eventually and inevitably exposed (they have literally scratched open my face merely by my wiping water away on the surface). DVein's gloves, on the other hand, surprisingly last considerably longer due to what appears to be a more water-resistant rubber dip, the heavy rubber protection on the upper surface of the hand, and an impressively durable glove material. Though I've personally worn through these, I can't imagine that any normal use of the glove would cause premature failure. They're just a well-executed product. I recreational dive as well, and have been known to fish with a pole spear, and to grab a lobster or two - I can also attest to their durability and exceptional protection in this environment as well. Though lobster spines can be felt through just about any glove, the experience is dramatically dulled to an anodyne level by the DVein's and, unlike with many alternatives, the upper protective pads prevent obnoxious rub injuries from the holes in which the bugs tend to obscure themselves. The gloves allow for sufficient dexterity to perform most jobs underwater, even those that require the handling of small objects like nuts and bolts. They have not inhibited the use of either of my dive computers (a Teric and an i770R), nor have they proven to get in the way when I'm working with a camera underwater. They are not exceptionally warm, as this is not their express purpose, for they're not made of neoprene or any comparable material. Considering I use these in Florida, I count that as an absolute perk. If I were to offer advice to DVein, it would be only that they should continue researching new compounds to stay ahead of the competition, as that's currently where they stand. I recognize that the protective rubber pads are made from a soft compound so that the hand can flex easily, but something of higher density might help the gloves to last a bit longer, as these do eventually become badly damaged from regular abrasion and/or impact. Further, the rubber dip across the palm and finger surface wears off reasonably quickly under aggressive use. A more durable alternative would absolutely enhance the value of these gloves. Finally, I'd suggest that they advertise everywhere. If an activity is performed underwater, even beyond diving and fishing - and it puts your hands at risk - I would not hesitate for a moment to endorse these gloves for your protection.

Great Work Gloves
I bought these to work on a boat lift in a lake with Zebra Mussels. Neither the mussels nor the wire ropes on the lift damaged the gloves, and my hands were fully protected. Worth it for that one job to me, but I imagine I'll be using these for a while.

Very tough! Held up perfectly for the entire lobster season.

Works
It’s a little more bulky and stiff than I expected. Have yet to test it out but the quality and grip seems good.

Best lobster gloves.
Lasted longer than any other lobster gloves I've ever had in 35 years of freediving for spiny lobster. Perfect thick amount of rubber on palms to still allow movement. Back of the hand is heavily armored, not rubberized, which I thought unnecessary, however, found this protects back, while allows flex to the palm, so now I understand. They will eventually wear and tear with use. I'm on my 2nd pr. But I use them often! I highly recommend!

Excellent Pair of Lobster Diving Gloves - Thick and Protects Hands Effectively
The D Vein Lobster Gloves worked well for my husband on his bug hunt in Catalina. The gloves are thick enough where the spiny lobster shells won't pierce through them, but are flexible enough to allow him to move his hands with ease. The gloves fit true to size, felt comfortable on his hands, and protected his hands from the lobsters, sharp rocks, and other poky items. The only complaint is that these gloves don't have any means of keeping his hands warm, but this doesn't seem to bother him too much. Overall great quality gloves for the price.
