I placed two on the wall that adjoins the other room and they are opposite the TV. I was skeptical but they do seem to be doing some good, plus they look nice on the wall. **Q: Can you use adhesive command strips to hold them up?** A: For safety reasons, we do not recommend command strips for mounting our acoustic panels. **Q: Could I screw a couple of L-braces into and make it a free-standing panel?** A: I think that you can do that pretty easily. The frame and the back are pretty stout and will easily, and securely, take screws.
