Great game
This game works so great counting up to 10. Fun for kids and great to learn all kinds of math. Will last for multiple kids and the instructions were clear.

Great Game for a Kindergartner
I got this as a gift for my goddaughter when she started kindergarten this past fall. I had a difficult time finding a math game that focused on Friends of 10. But she adores this game. She’s a big fan of mermaids and there are different ways to play the game for varied levels of practice. Nicely made game pieces too. Happy with my purchase!

UPDATE! Endlessly adaptable! Great value! We will use this game for many, many years!
UPDATE: We have been using this game for about 8 years now! We have used it in so many different ways. As the kids have gotten older we do powers (flip two, bigger number to the power of the smaller number), factors (find a common factor or a common multiple of two), and all kinds of other things. The set still looks practically new. It has held up so well over so many years with a lot of usage. Absolutely worth every penny! If I could only have one math game for homeschooling, this would be it! This became a favorite in our house after only the first time playing. It was purchased to help improve the mental math speed and accuracy of our 6 year old first grader. By the end of the first game he was a master at adding up to 10. I was so impressed with how quickly he learned that 7 & 3 go together, 6 & 4, etc. This game is also endlessly adaptable, which adds HUGE value! There are a LOT of sharks in the game, which eat any sets you have collected. At first I thought the high number would cause frustration, but it actually seems to reduce it because it levels the playing field a bit, and makes it fun to see how high of a stack we can collect before the shark comes and eats it. Our younger one likes to pretend to play too. As much as the big kid loves to play this game I wouldn't be surprised if the little one masters basic addition before he gets to kindergarten! Some other ways you can play it: - Remove equal and higher numbers to play "I Sea (lower number)". For example, remove 7's, 8's and 9's, plus a few sharks, and play "I Sea 7". Make sure to remove some of the sharks too, otherwise it will be too many sharks for the number of cards you have out. - Play "I Sea _____" using at least 3 numbers (be prepared for leftover cards). - Subtraction only - Free-for-All: addition, subtraction, or multiplication; any number of cards - Multiplication - whoever can call out the correct answer first gets the cards - Fractions and decimals - Take turns flipping like normal, but make sure to pause in between flips, and whoever calls out the correct decimal for a fraction gets the cards. For example: if a 1 is flipped over, then a 4, someone could call out .25. If no one can get a decimal after a flip, then the next person can turn one over. This also helps practice reducing fractions because someone could call out .33 for 3 and 9. Your creativity is really the only limit here!

Great Supplement to Homeschool Curriculum
I know it says for ages 6+, but I bought this for our four year old Kindergartener who has a good grasp of numbers. It's a great math game that I use as a supplement to his homeschooling math "curriculum." He LOVES to play this game. I go slow with him and we don't bother with the shark pogs just yet...we'll work our way up to that. But we've played 2 and 3 players so far; it's fun and educational. I make him tell me the number on the pog he flipped over before he's allowed to call out, "I see 10!" Then I give him a few seconds to see if any of them make ten. The first time he played, he really only understood 5+5=10, but after about 4-5 times of playing, he's starting to get it and make more combinations of ten. It's really awesome hearing him say, "I see 10! 7 plus 3 equals ten!" Playing this has helped him distinguish between the numbers 6, 8, and 9, as he confuses those three the most. This is a great math tool that we'll use in our homeschool for years to come.

Great game- needs an improved box
Highly enjoyed the game. I was able to play it with my 5,8,10,12&15 year old. My 8&5 year old we focused on adding and we played it a bit slower. For my older 3 m, we were able to play the game spying numbers that added up to 10. Then we made it a condition to see which numbers we could add to get 20. The coins that are used for the game are sturdy. The colors are eye catching. The only thing that would make this better is if the box lid would actually stay on.

Easy to Teach and Fun to Play!
I played this with my RTI group and it quickly became a hit because the rules of the game are easy to understand, and it's a speed game that my kiddos love. My favorite part is that after playing it with a few groups, they were able to play it independently as a math station and clean it up well. The box the game came in is very sturdy and holds all the pieces easily.

Fun way to learn many math facts
Excellent way for my son to learn math facts in a fun way. My first grader loves it and third grader just wants to play along all the time. We have played daily for three weeks and are absolutely loving it. My sons speed and confidence are skyrocketing. The tokens are sturdy and well made. Update: I’m now using this game to play “i sea multiplication” with my 8 year old. We flip two tokens over and identify the product. It’s been a fun way to boost speed and confidence with multiplication facts. In sad news, the baby also likes to chew the tokens and one of the darks now has identifying teeth marks. This is a really flexible fun little game.
