I suffer from major heartburn issues. Sometimes it gets so bad I can’t even eat for weeks because it flares up so bad. I can’t have my coffee. Even decaf would bother me. I got this and glad I did. It isn’t coffee but when you miss it really bad this is a nice substitute. I love light roast coffee but it is the most acidic. So I found VitaCup Dark Roast Decaf Low Acid Coffee. Dark coffee is the least acidic. So since I don’t like dark coffee I make 12oz of chicory and add a spoonful or so of the dark low acid coffee. It being dark it flavors it nicely. I add my cream and sugar and it hits the spot. The good news is it isn’t causing any issues with my GERD. I will drink the chicory without the dark low acid coffee sometimes with cream and sugar and it isn’t that bad. If you suffer from GERD like I do and miss your coffee then give this a try.

some reviews say it taste like burnt marshmallow. It does! And I love burnt marshmallows! The taste may be bitter, but so is coffee. Adding plenty of cream brings out the marshmallow flavor. My ulcer absolutely loves this coffee alternative! And so do my taste buds.

It s taste was not what I had hoped, I had high hopes as I can not drink coffee. Looked like a dark coffee , smelled good. But the taste was bitter. I truly wanted to love this product . I have to say that customer service reached out to me in a very professional and positive way. It was definitely a sign that the company has great values and integrity. Maybe the product was not for me but the company stood behind there product and made it right. You don’t see customer service like that these days and I am rooting for them!

Good if you like chicory coffee but I didn’t realize it contributes to my carb count at 7 grams, but if blood sugar is not a concern this is a good decaf coffee alternative with alternate health benefits, just have to adjust for the carb exchange as needed.

Smells like coffee! Kcups are stronger than instant blend. A little pricey. But very enjoyable.

it tastes like day old coffee that I put in the microwave. If I put enough creamer in it, I can make it work, but it's not something I would drink every day.

If you like strong coffee then this is for you! I’ve always liked Café du Monde coffee, which is a blend of coffee plus chicory. I started wondering if I could get just plain Chickory coffee. I finally found this and it works perfect in the Keurig machine. It has a super strong flavor which I can usually drink without adding anything. Once you add a little bit of milk or cream, it cuts that down a little bit. You can even add sweetener if it is too bitter. But if you like strong coffee, you would absolutely love this. It works great for an iced coffee as well. Plus, it’s healthier than coffee and doesn’t have caffeine. I use decaffeinated coffee a lot, but I kinda like this better because it is stronger flavored.

I was concerned about the reviews talking about the bitter taste. I see what they’re talking about but I don’t find it that bitter. May just be my tastebuds 🤷‍♀️ I like this better than herbal tea or decaf and good for avoiding bladder irritants and maintaining a morning coffee feeling which is what I was after.

Too strong tasting. Wast of money.

Burnt Marsh Mellow. This is the exact smell and flavour profile. As others have said, its just too strong as well. It overwhelming to drink.

Very good product, really nice flavour, just a bit strong. Would be perfect if just slightly less strong, but still, highly recommend if you are trying to avoid coffee and caffiene in a natural way.
