is this work out side of house?
yes it works but it is not like you see on the SNS. you have to set up the App to the cell and you have to find which product is control so, if you are thinking about going out with this product and do prank ... it is so difficult to operate. but if you are in house to control your product, it is great product.

I use it all the time
This thing is super easy to use! In my opinion it’s worth every dollar! This thing connects right away and once I open the app I’m ready to rock! So far it has worked up to 15ft away with no issues so I’d say it’s plenty powerful! It has never come apart, and even accidentally went through the washer and still have had no issues at all.

An interesting toy accessory for iPhone to control many (not all!) IR devices as a remote control
This is a great little device for those people who LOVE gadgets! For the rest of us who hoped it would enable us to consolidate (or replace) multiple IR remotes all into our iPhone, it comes up short. I was able to successfully download the app from the App Store using the QR code on the package. The directions are a bit funky, but once you figure out to swipe left to get beyond the first page of the instructions embedded in the app, you will probably be able to figure out how to set it up (or "pair" it) for use with many devices. This isn't a "pairing" in the Bluetooth way of "pairing" but rather go through a couple minute process to figure out which codes the software should use to control the device. (So if you don't have - or can't find! - the remote, you can probably still work through the process. You start by choosing the kid of device. I started with my TV. From the list of TV brands, I chose Sharp. It then showed a "power button" that I was to press once, which I did. It then asked if that was "useful" or "useless" - as is did that "button press" have the desired action of turning the TV on? I had to go through several cycles like this until my TV did turn ON! Then I clicked on Useful rather than Useless like for the previous times when nothing happened. Next I repeated the same process for 3 more functions which enabled it to determine exactly which remote control buttons to show for this TV as part of the 2-level menu for control. After setting up the TV and playing with the controls on my iPhone screen for a few moments, I realized that I'll probably stick with the OEM remote that came with the TV! Sure this could be a handy adjunct to have IF I ever need it, but having to figure out where the buttons are and deal with the multiple menus just wasn't worth the hassle. Next I tried to set up my Vizio Bluetooth Sound Bar. There is no "sound bar" or speaker setting in the app. So I chose Amp and was able to find codes that worked for on/off, and volume up/down, but none of the other functions (since it is NOT an Amp!) I was mildly impressed that it worked at all, but it didn't work well enough to replace the REAL remote control. Next I started to set up the Sony Blueray player, but I realized I didn't have the HDMI cable connected between it and the TV, and I wasn't worth fixing that just to test the remote function. THAT was really telling! For me, in that moment, it wasn't worth the trouble of finding and connecting a single HDMI cable. So you can probably guess how often I'll probably be using this "nifty gadget" that plugs into the Lightning Port in order to enable one to control some IR devices with out having to find the "correct" remote. ATTENTION OCRUSTAR: IF you had a way to connect this through Alexa in order to control IR devices, then you'd have something more interesting! I'd be happy to review it for you IF / WHEN you create it! Bottom line: 3 stars for an Interesting Gadget that might work for some of your IR devices.

A Tech Nightmare
I recently made the mistake of getting the Universal Remote Control Adapter for iPhone, and my experience has been nothing short of a technological disaster. From the outset, it was clear that this product was destined to be a source of frustration rather than a convenient addition to my home entertainment setup. To begin with, the installation process was a convoluted mess. The accompanying instructions provided a level of ambiguity that left me questioning my technological prowess. Multiple attempts were made to connect the adapter to my iPhone, only to be met with error messages and confusion. It's as if the designers wanted to test my patience right from the start. I never managed to get the adapter to work, I was met with the harsh reality of its limited functionality. The promise of turning my iPhone into a universal remote was shattered as it struggled to communicate with even the most basic devices. The lag between pressing a button on the app and the corresponding action on my TV made the entire experience akin to navigating a technological time warp. The app interface itself is a nightmare to navigate. Cluttered with unnecessary buttons and features, it resembles the aftermath of a software development explosion. Simple tasks, such as changing channels or adjusting volume, became Herculean feats as I fumbled through an unintuitive sea of icons. This defeats the purpose of having a remote control that should enhance convenience, not diminish it. Save your money and sanity by opting for a traditional remote control or a more reliable universal remote solution. This adapter is nothing short of a technological nightmare.
