Worked flawlessly!!!
I’m not a professional blacksmith by any means, but I decided to attempt the challenge of stainless steel Damascus using stainless steel powder off Amazon, and these canisters. Worked flawlessly, the metal forge welded together perfect, only 1 crack which was probably my fault from hammering when it was cooled farther than it should have. But anyway the canister, the canister welds were solid, a little surface rust from sitting on a shelf but that was no problem, I wire wheeled it out and boom perfect, other reviews say they’re ruined from the rust… not really, in all reality it may even help your canister from not welding to your billet, but I used paint high temp from krylon. I heated and hammered in a square rotation about 4 times and cut the can off, perfect! Will be buying again!

It's a metal box.
It's a metal box. It does what a metal box should do...be a metal box.

Great for canister Damascus
I love these canisters for making canister Damascus. It saves me a whole lot of time trying to make my own canisters. The price is okay but I wish it was a little cheaper but all in all great product

My first canister attempt and I'm 2 for 2
I got just what I ordered and they even threw in some form white out with my order! it's not in the description so I don't know if they always do that but I sure appreciated it. There welds were solid and with the included white out the cans came right off. Will definitely be ordering again.

Bad quality
Precut lids are too small for canister. Three boxes now of pieces that are too small. Won’t be ordering anymore.

Just too thin for me to use them on the project I ordered them for…
I ordered these canisters for a customer job, I was commissioned to make some art type knives from solid meteorite, and I planned to use the cutoffs and scraps in a canister weld to make meteor/1095 powder steel, but the meteor is so expensive I was unwilling to risk that much money worth of rare and beautiful materials on a can that could fail and ruin possibly thousands of $$ worth or materials these canisters are a little thin for their size, I really don’t like the way they are made, the welded end caps leaked when I got them, and I had to reinforce the welds before I would attempt to use them, if the walls were thicker I wouldn’t worry as much, but they are so thin and there is a lot of stress put on these cans when you are using squaring dies to press the hot canister to consolidate the welds, the ends really really bulge out badly which isn’t good, that’s making things move inside in ways you don’t want it to move.. if the end caps and side walls were thicker then you would have a stronger can and you wouldn’t have to worry about the ends bulging out or the can ripping while pressing, and messing up the welds within the can, and when you have materials inside a can that can fail, well that just costs you money that most bladesmiths can’t afford to waste, powder steel is definitely not cheap and I don’t want to waste any materials if I can help it, especially when using expensive and rare materials like meteorite

Improper size
None of the lids fit the canisters. All are cut far too small. Had to use scrap metal as substitute.
