These are very helpful when giving needles to my diabetic 2 year old. Just press against the skin and he feels the sensation of the little pimples which takes away the prick of the needle. I would recommend these for giving needles to young children.

My 6 year old has to do daily injections using a pen device. Even using the smallest needle available (4 mm), it was still causing her anxiety and pain. She would start to cry before we would do the injection and then would say "ow" and cry when we inserted the needle. That was for the first five days of her injections. Then I ordered these shot blockers and on the sixth day when we tried these, it was a complete game changer! She held one on her leg, so it helped with the anxiety as it gave her something to do and took her mind off of the injection. She still started to cry a tiny bit, but then when I did the injection, she actually started to laugh!! I said, "Why are you laughing?" She said, "Because it doesn't hurt at all!" I am soooo happy that we bought these! What a great invention!
