How does it compare to the active dry yeast from red star? what’s the difference?

I think they are exactly the same. I do no knead and regulr bread. No difference. I think the only difference is that you sometimes have to proof regular yeast. I have used them interchangeably with absolutely no difference

I want yeast for bread machines but the one with the picture for bread machines just says red star yeast jar quick rise. should i go by price?

freaking heck, the bread machine just automates the whole process of mixing the ingredients together and cooking it. Check the size of loaf the machine can support, see what size bread pan the recipe says it'll fill and if it's more than your Bread machine half the recipe and you should be safe, though the bread might be a little small. Not exactly helpful, but yeah. The machine doesn't care about the yeast you use, go off price and the amount you want, because getting too much and not using it is quite a waste.

Does it need refrigeration after opening?

Yes, it's best to refrigerate after opening.

Can you use with a Bosch bread maker?

Yes, you can use it with any breadmaker.
